Running a restaurant is murder. The only way I can imagine this happening is if he had a zillion volunteers.

The article said, “The program created a huge sensation. Afterward, there were many other offers, but he turned them all down. He had enough help from volunteers and supporters.”

Still, if it were me, I’d probably stay a priest and try to recruit ardent, dedicated LAY PEOPLE to start a restaurant for the Poor. The church MUST serve the poor, and the church is mostly Laity. And us laity are supposed to be working in the world.

Apples and oranges. Running a restaurant and being a sacerdote have very few if anyt requirements in common to be compared.

His medical reasons which could be various among mental, etc are not disclosed in the article. Many priests, specially in Catholic minority countries carry quite heavy burdens.

In addition it is not like he retired to go on a cruise or lay in the beach. He is still spreading the truth.
