I understand that. I looked at a Greek Orthodox school when my son was starting school.

We did like the school for academics and for class size. My husband’s dear friend is a priest and said that there would be nothing “anathema” about him attending there. I did like that each class room had an image of Our Lady and Baby Jesus. We ultimately picked our parish school.

I think she’s doing what most of us would do. 🙂

So if she actually is Catholic and understands that Donald wasn’t free to marry her because he’s already married…then the right thing to do for her and her son is to move to the White House and continue to refuse to engage in adulterous acts with Donald.

The irony of the “gossip” which I presume is meant to cast a negative light on the Trumps, actually casts a positive light on them from a Catholic perspective. But your point is well taken, as the information provided is speculative in nature, not to different than what is being speculated both pro and con regarding Mrs. Trump and the faithfulness of her claims as to whether or not she is a practicing Catholic as it has been claimed in the OP.

That train left the station years ago … with highly visible noteworthy Catholics …of course it was also noted they had money power and influence …

So if this story is true the real impact is just reinforcing that reality … Catholics with money power and influence can do/get …and still receive respect/Sacraments/etc

Nope sounds right to me. You have people bending over backwardsfor poltical reasons whether it’s excusing an assault on a reporter because ‘he’s lberal and deserved it’, ignoring basic catholic teaching on divorce/remarriage and contraception here, or any number of things.

There is a difference between choosing one candidate over a other or one party versus another compared to equating all one party does as evil and excusing or rationalizing everything someone for their preferred political party does (including like for example the video of trumps ‘locker room’ tall bs because Clinton is inexusable). The number who excuse bad actions on their side because the other is worse is not and never is acceptable. Catholics do not live by the motto ends justify for the means.

Sacraficing Catholic teaching in favor of scoring and supporting political parties basically no matter what is the quintessential example of idolatry.

highly visible noteworthy Catholics who receive Eucharist when they have violated Catholic teachings publically

I agree that all Catholics should get respect and equal treatment …but reality they don’t …and I have witnessed it in person …up close …but then the Church is operated by people who are fallible
