I understand why it isn’t used. I
think (no one seems to have an answer to this) the reason for the current text of 1973 is because the Latin text is - overall - longer than most of what our current responses are.
The Gloria is probably the best example of this. If you compare the two texts, one can clearly see that some parts were condensed to “get the point across”
1973 text: We worship you, We give you thanks, We praise you for your glory
Latin text: We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory.
I tend to refer to it as being lazy
To get back to the actual thread title (little detour…drives my wife nuts when I do that

), as someone else said, Memorial Acclamation A seems to take B,C,D and and just proclaim it. Again, laziness in my opinion.
Overall, the more I read about it, the more I’m understanding and more accepting of the translated text.
