The difference is that with H1N1 there is a greater risk not getting vaccinated. We have little to no control over who gets it(you can’t get HPV from sitting next to someone). We have little to no control who dies(cervical cancer is already preventable and almost everyone survives with early treatment) from it. We have no idea how widespread it will be.
I don’t want to get the Swine Flu vaccine because of the unknowns, but I’m going to because I don’t want to risk my life or health. I don’t have to take the risks of Guardasil because the hazards it claims to prevent are already preventable.
