Listening to your principal talk about how exciting her weekend down to Los Angeles was because she got to visit the “Museum of Tolerance” bragging about posters she bought there to try and discourage bullying, then listening to statistics about ethnic group performances on the state testing, followed by us having to do Kagan cooperative learning activities as adults that are designed for small children, I’m going to stick with that being my Inferno! LOL

Catching Typhoid in the Philippines this past summer was also up there…:cool:

That’s nothing. You ever been in the midst of a slumber party with every 12 year old girl in the country? All of them screeching and running up and down the stairs, all night long?

I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe…attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion…I watched sea beams glitter in the dark at the Tannhauser Gates…

That’s what I thought too. I was waiting for someone to write that it doesn’t exist ‘today’ because we have to wait for the Lake of Fire on judgement Day.

The kids are not the problem ever with education----it’s the parents and the administrators…

This job has truly opened my eyes to how LOUSY the parenting is by and large in this generation of moms and dads. It’s just plain scary who clueless and attorney-client-minded they are. Weird stuff…

But I love teaching. I just hate the drama, the pettiness, the excuse-making, and the ignorance that goes on with the parents and admin.

What is your description of hell ? Where is hell?

Are there people in hell today? If so, What attributes do people have in hell?

Gehenna references, millstones tied around one’s neck and thrown into pits, today’s readings about Lazarus and the rich man, constant Hades references, Revelation, weeds being pulled out and burned, hell’s mentioned once or twice in the Bible 😛

ok ill give a serious answer. with a question of my own. why did Jesus come to earth to save us? what was he saving us from? Gods wrath. thats what. if all the wrath of God was, was annialation then so what? even the buddhist would be ok with that. thats actually their idea of heaven believe it or not. no, we were meant to be eternal. even though the body dies, we will be ressurected and will either have our physical bodies glorified, or we will will be raised with immortal bodies that are gonna suffer for all eternity. my discription of hell would have to be several things. have you ever been in the C.S. gas chamber? any one who has been in the military will know what im talking about. you cannot breath. your windpipe closes a milimeter, and you choke, and gag. hells fumes are gonna be a million times worse. with no end. also on top of that, there are passages that allude to not being able to move. think of millions of bodies piled on top of one another stacked like chord wood. you cant move, your breathing fumes of fire, your flesh is salted inside and out with fire, and it never ends! not a future i would want. i dont think the story of the rich man and lazarus was a parable. lets pray none of us end up there. :signofcross: oh my Jesus. forgive us our sins. save us from the fires of hell. lead all souls to heaven especially those most in need of your mercy. Amen.
