This is the difference between Islamic and Christianity belief. We see prophets as chosen by God to speak his words but they are human being like you and I. They were not superhuman and so they were capable of committing sins. Generally and for the most part they were good and righteous people and that’s why they are chosen by God.Please do not be a judge of the prophets on your own wishes. You are not their headmaster.
We see many prophets (Whom we understand as prophets) in the bible OT doing utterly bad things. That is the report of the bible, may be specially designed to extradite some from the list of prophets.
The Bible reports things as what they were. It does not lie but tells only the truth. No way was prophets from the Bible not prophets just because they committed ‘bad things’. Remember, for most part they were righteous.
The Bible does not malign them. If there are no such things in the Quran, then that means the Quran is not truthful.See Adam, see Noah, See LOT, see Aaron, David and Soloman all have been maligned. No such thing is in Quran about them.
People in that age were not fools. The people of the age were the best judges. They would not accept any one as a leader if the person had bad character.
Not all prophets were leaders or Kings. They were God’s spokesmen and not necessarily leaders. Isaiah, Ezekiel or Jeremiah was not political leaders.
Adam was the first man.
Noah was a righteous person. Nothing was mentioned about him that he was a leader except being the head of his household.
Lot was Abraham kinsman and they went on separate ways in later part of their lives. They were head of their own clans respectively, not political leaders.
Aaron, the brother of Moses was a priest who spoke for Moses.
David and Solomon were kings and therefore held political power. They were not prophet in the strictest sense of the word. Prophets were usually independent priests or person whom God use as His mouth piece. But they can be put in the prophet’s category as some of their prayers were inspired and became part of the Bible.
David was a good king and person. Solomon was good at first before he was a king but after he married many wives of different religions, his heart swayed from God. He needed to please his wife and built temple for her god.
There is no evidence that people would listen to a prophet based on his goodness. They did not listen to Noah or Ezekiel.
The truth about prophet’s lives must be told so that we can learn from them. Do not follow the bad but only the good.
