The Orthodox view can’t be accepted by the Catholic Church. The Orthodox concept of economy isn’t common to the west. It may be fine for them, but the truth is that the Catholic Church has asserted that there can be no divorce and remarriage. If we change this we might as well reject infallibility, remove the Filioque from the creed, and become Orthodox. Let’s not lie to ourselves and pretend that it is consistent to practice divorce but proclaim the indissolubility of marriage.
