"Grandparents need to be reminded that they have a very important role to play today in the Christian formation of their grandchildren. Unfortunately, nowadays in Western societies the chain of transmission of faith has been severely weakened or even broken within families, where there are situations in which both husband and wife are working, or parents are separated or divorced. A renewed empashisis on the family, based on the Church’s teaching, is a vital part of the New Evangelisation.
“In this context, the role of Catholic grandparents takes on a whole new dimension.”

(Monsignor Graham Bell, Under Secretary of the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelisation).

is it just me but isn’t Monsignor Graham Bell being Under Secretary of the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization pretty funny.

A great crusader of evangelicalism is billy Graham, it’s not a huge stretch of the imagination to see Graham Bell as a reversal of that.
actually, alexander graham bellwas the inventor of the telephone ,New Evangelization is communication.

As a grandmother of. 35 grandchildren Two great grandchildren I feel I can speak on this topic. It was my responsibilty to share the story of salvation and the saviors gift of life to sinners with my children.I feel it is still my responsibility to be an active loving role model to my grandchildren.I have spouses. Of my grandkids with no actual affiliation with any church.I take those children to church! Yes,it is more of a parents role however Istep up to the plate when they fail.
