Michigan residents pray for peace at rosary rally

An estimated 150 to 200 people gathered in a cold rain outside a Michigan university in suburban Detroit on Saturday to pray for peace.

The rosary rally at Madonna University in Livonia was among a number of rallies held around Michigan and across the country.

Saturday’s rallies came on the 95th anniversary of the reported appearance by Mary, the mother of Jesus, to three children near Fatima, Portugal.

Google confirms that there are a number of similar rallies scheduled to take place in multiple cities around the US.

In another thread, it was mentioned that a Rosary Rally is taking place in San Francisco today, but it was organized by different backers.

Yes,I led a rally in the Denver area today.It was one of 8,000across the country.Organized by America Needs Fatima. Attendance at mine was considerably smaller ,only thirty or so.

I wonder if this year’s events aren’t intended to establish an annual event? Perhaps the idea is to slowly ramp up attendance, or at least interest, culminating on the 100th anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Fatima.

Good point.I do know that the one I was involved with through America Needs Fatima,was specifically for the conversion of the USA.Yet they have this rally every year on Fatima Anniversary.

We had rallies in 2 locations here in SE OK. Been holding them a few years now. Never been rained out yet but this year was close! Bad forecast but Our Lady had other plans and we had a beautiful hour of prayer outside. Hope to do it again next year!
