Migrants from Europe bringing girls to tolerant Britain for genital mutilation

Apparently it is done so that the women experiences little to no pleasure in sex, thus making her unlikely to commit adultery. I just donā€™t get the mentality. Iā€™d rather shave my head with a cheese-grater than be with a woman who isnā€™t enjoying herself as much as I am.

A genuine dilemma. And before anyone jumps in with comments on the NHS, itā€™s my understanding that it would be done in a private clinic. No involvement by the NHS at all, apart from treating girls when the procedure goes wrong.

One thing to be grateful for, at least (kind of feel funny saying that). In the sense that (from my understanding) immigrants *already *get a boatload of underserved benefits, courtesy of the English taxpayers. Please correct me if Iā€™m wrong, but I understand that council housing is provided for immigrants - is that true?

I canā€™t imagine having to support through taxpayer money a practice that is considered barbaric by the native population.

I recently re-read one of my favorite books about the reunification of the kingdoms of ancient Egypt. It was a fictional novel, but contained much historical content (akin to Michenerā€™s novels). There was one section in which the main protagonist was considering the effects of the genital mutilation that had been done to Nubian slaves (prior to their capture). He observed that, despite what the practice was supposed to achieve (a woman who would remain uninterested in adultery, and lovingly focus her attentions on her husband), the surgery actually did the opposite and removed the womanā€™s ability of showing love through the sexual act and instead turned these women into ā€œcold, calculating, sexless monstersā€.
(Authors words, not mine - not personally calling these women ā€œmonstersā€)

It would be interesting to study the psychological effects of the practice.

No council housing isnā€™t provided for immigrants. Most immigrants are allowed to reside for a certain period and during this period they have no recourse to public funds. They generally have to work for a certain period (normally 2 years) before they are allowed to apply for benefits, which are either subject to means testing or dependent on having paid National Insurance Contributions.

Bona-Fide Asylum Seekers are sometimes supported with accomodation, and can claim benefits in certain circumstances but their benefits are capped at a lower level than the general population.

Our local church helps provide support and advice and sometimes food for these people.
