I wish pence would refer to Trump as “Don” like harris refers to Biden as Joe.

It’s pretty even so far. I think Kamala Harris is standing toe to toe with Mike Pence, but he seems very composed, considering the circumstances. I could see a lot of younger voters identifying more with her, as he seems a little out of touch.

No one is being “gobsmacked.” They are both doing a good job speaking to whoever happens to buy into their respective talking points. Both are doing better than either presidential candidate in appearing like reasonably coherent human adults.

Thats my take, being un invested in the outcome. Two people having an intelligent and calm conversation
She speaking but not saying anything of any value .
I am learning quite a bit by listening to both of them. What would you class as something of value

No she isn’t.What has she said other than the same tired talking points from the Dems.Pence is actually very informed and is dominating this debate with the facts.

Curious if a non-involved person thinks her facial expressions are a positive for her?

Why is she shaking her head that Newsweek says she is the most liberal senator?

Fair point, but I wouldn’t argue if you said the same about the Vice President. I do like some of the courteous and gentlemanly comments he’s made.

seems you’re preoccupied with her nasally voice so how can you tell?

He has refuted and cogently made arguments for his statement ,he can because he isn’t lying and his statement are factual.

A debate should be measured on what is said and the decorum a person displays, ie not losing your temper or attacking the other. Its a bit like CAF really, discuss the topic and dont attack the person.
I think she is quite pleasant to look at, she is smiling and looking serious and attentive. The same with Pence. They are both well dressed and obviously turned out by their respective PR people.

Is the adjudicator behind a screen?

They both have American accents, but their accents are different. You have a big country with a lot of different accents throughout it. I am sure we do too. We Victorians always poke fun at the Queensland accents, they at us.
We all poke fun at the New Zealand accent and they at ours.

At times she is practically rolling her eyes! That’s very disrespectful to her debate partner I think.

It doesn’t really bother me. It’s standard in these debates for the other person to shake their head or look agitated.
