MIlitary chaplains are a unique vocation for sure!!
We have one locally who fills in at our parish. He spent time in Iraq, is in the states as a chaplain recruiter, and will eventually go to Afghanistan. I had him speak to my middle school boys and he was a HUGE hit. A priest in camo?! They boys just couldn’t get over it.
Our class prays for him every morning.
