Does anyone have any info on this order? Iam interested in it. Do you know anyone that belongs?

I have known a couple of people online who were involved with them, they are legitimate as far as I can tell, they have permission from the local Bishop and do not even pretend to have a link to the medieval order.

Here is the page for hte US branch

militiatempli.org/contact.html

The Rev. John C. Fritz mentioned there as a contact is I believe in the diocese of Rockford at St. Joseph Seminary, 1200 Varnum Street, N.E. Washington, D.C. 20017.

Contact that priest and he il be able to tell you what you want to know.

I am a novice of the CPMO. We have 10 professed members and 25 novices in the United States. I’d be happy to answer any questions I can, or refer them to our Preceptor.

I know that there is a noviate stage and associate members, but how does one find out enough about the Poor Knights(a chapter?) in order to hopefully join it? I agree that it sounds interesting(l love living parts of history), and they celebrate the Latin Mass. Mr. Wac, since you said that there are 10 professed members in the U.S, how many Knights Solemn(i.e. the priests) are there?

The CPMO is a lay religious community of diocesan right (founded with the approval of the Bishop of Sienna, Italy), and as such does not incarnate priests. We have priests who affiliate with us much like priests may join a Secular Third Order, but they do not “belong” to the CPMO. So, if you want to be a priest in the CPMO, you have to be a priest first, then join.

There are members who live in our headquarters who pray the office in common, share a common work and common life, but they are few. Most of us are men and women in the world, with spouses and jobs, though we take and follow the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, and live them out in accordance with our state in life.

If you want more information from the “horse’s mouth”, I’ll be happy to give you the preceptor’s email address.

In Christ,
WAC
