The CPMO is a lay religious community of diocesan right (founded with the approval of the Bishop of Sienna, Italy), and as such does not incarnate priests. We have priests who affiliate with us much like priests may join a Secular Third Order, but they do not “belong” to the CPMO. So, if you want to be a priest in the CPMO, you have to be a priest first, then join.
There are members who live in our headquarters who pray the office in common, share a common work and common life, but they are few. Most of us are men and women in the world, with spouses and jobs, though we take and follow the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, and live them out in accordance with our state in life.
