A stone from Saint Paul’s tomb is coming to the apostle’s U.S. national shrine, as a gift from Pope Benedict XVI to the Church in Minnesota.

That’s nice I guess, but to my way of thinking, a piece of stone from a structure built 500 or so years after the Apostle’s death is really stretching the definition of “relic.” It would be different if it were from Paul’s original tomb structure.
