Why is it that when an amazing miracle happens, it gets so little attention?!?! The most stunning detail to me was that despite being in a coma since 1984, Sara woke up aware of the events of 9/11 and other newsworthy events that may have been broadcast on a TV in her room or discussed by those visiting her. And this is why we always stand on the side of life. Because you just never know. If her feeding tube had been pulled, her family wouldn’t have this miracle today. And it doesn’t surprise me that she could hear what was going on around her. I once heard a story about a very rich, old woman who was in a coma and expected to die. Her family stood around her bed and talked about what they were going to do with the money the would get “when the old lady croaked”, except for one young lady. She talked about how much she loved the elderly woman. Well, shortly after that, the old woman woke up and cut everyone except this young girl out of her will.
