Did this email step over any lines?
Thoughts?
I would need more information to form a meaningful opinion one way or the other.

In the face of it, the email seems fairly innocuous.
But there may be other circumstances we do not know of contributing to the decision to dismiss.

I don’t think there is anything else but that email. I had heard about this story as well.

No, it doesn’t seem quite right to remove him. We are though, living in sensitive times but people shouldn’t lose their jobs over this.

People have been fired for stating the scientific fact that a man cannot transform into a woman. A broadcaster was fired for stating the biblical truth that “all lives matter”. - Lloyd Marcus

A Lutheran Church put up on their electric sign near me, “Black Lives Matter”, okay, I don’t disagree with that sentiment. That’s their right to freedom of speech but I think the more general statement “All Lives Matter” is better.

I prefer “Every Life Matters” which is not that different from “All Lives Matter”. You might hear that at a protest in front of a Planned Parenthood facility.

Every untimely death is a tragedy, but not everyone who dies is a hero. George Floyd is being used for political purposes, but he was no hero, as Father Moloney rightly points out. All men are created equal, but their lives will some day be judged by the choices they made with the time they were given, just not by me.

If you ever come to visit me, you will probably get here on a portion of Indiana Highway 3. In our county it has been designated the Eryk Todd Heck Memorial Highway. Who was Eryk Todd Heck? He is the only Allen County Deputy in over 200 years to be shot and killed in the line of duty. Two men died untimely deaths at almost the same moment. One died saving the life of his partner; the other died in the act of murdering a law enforcement officer and attempting to murder another.
