Romney’s only strategy should be attack, attack, attack. Don’t be afraid to tell the truth about Barack Obama, Mitt, b/c the entire free nation will perish if you lose! 😦 Rob
Attack and spend - tell the truth. That is the only way to overcome Obama’s significant war chest and mainstream media who is in the tank for him. On CNN what was the big story last night? Obama’s missing the security meetings? Letting Egypt, an ally of 40+ years become an enemy? Criticize the Obama middeast foreign policy of the past 3 years? Obama’s ignoring the Iran democracy movement? His embracing of the Muslim Brotherhood? Any of those things? No. Instead they talked about Romney’s statement. That was the issue for CNN. Obama is protected by the mainstream media.

Well, in fairness, you were the only person who was actually watching CNN.😃

From Newsmax article:

What a nebulous statement…wonder why they didn’t give a firm number? Surely that information is available.

John
What do they call that? Tu Toque fallacy? " It doesn’t matter if Obama missed important security meetings because Bush probably did too." What is this? Defend Obama at all costs? Is he above criticism?

Which presidential polls were most accurate? 2008

Pollster Dick Morris who worked for Bill Clinton: Why Mitt Will Win

All pollsters are using 2008 models of voter turnout. Some are combining ’04 and ’08 but skewing their samples to ’08 numbers. African-Americans cast 11 percent of the national vote in ’04, but their participation swelled to 13 percent in ’08. These 2 million new black voters backed Obama overwhelmingly. Will they come out in such numbers again? Will college and under-30 voters do so as well? Will Latino turnout be at historic highs? All these questions have to be answered in the affirmative for the polling samples so widely published to be accurate.

For example, when a poll shows an Obama lead among likely voters of, say, 47 percent to 45, it is based on an assumption that blacks will cast 13 percent of the vote. But the lack of enthusiasm among Obama’s base for his candidacy and their doubts about the economy make an 11 percent black turnout more likely. In this event, Romney would actually win 46 percent to 45.

And then there is the enthusiasm gap. All recent polling suggests that Republican and GOP-leaning independents are 13 points more enthusiastic and following the race more closely than their Democratic counterparts. If the grass roots do their job, this will yield a stronger Romney vote.

Finally, when every poll among every sample has Obama below 50 percent of the vote, it is most likely that the undecideds have, in fact, decided not to back his reelection.

Ha. I eventually turned it off in disgust. But you watch ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. its all the same. I think there is a larger issue of fewer Americans actually tuning in to the news events. Too many would rather watch Monday Night Football instead of inform themselves on the issues.

They’re all watching Fox (me, too)😉

Friendly wager on your analysis?

A LOT has changed since 2008, aside from the Chope™ (“Where Change meets Hope”) wearing off.
Thanks, but no thanks. I know a lot of things have changed since 2008, but honestly, Romney/Ryan scare me more than McCain/Palin. Palin was just not smart and the thought of the possibility of her taking over as President made me very nervous. As a woman, Ryan’s “personhood” issues cause me great concern. I am quite capable of making my own decisions about my body and my healthcare. I am old enough to remember the 70’s, and I don’t want to go back to them. I believe that eventually Ryan will try to force his beliefs on the country, and there will be problems. I have major concerns about Romney’s “religion” but will decline comment on these forums. But I will say, that I am not alone with my concerns. IMO.

What will Ryan force you to do with your body? What beliefs is Ryan trying to “force on the country” ? What about the 70’s do you not want to go back to?

Ryan’s beliefs? You mean his ability to add and subtract?

Disco
Bell Bottoms
Bad Haircuts
Jimmy Carter

It’s a long list…
LOL. Bay City Rollers, Three’s Company, Captain and Tennile…gas crunch, the list goes on. But I was wondering what Personanongrata had in mind - he/she doesn’t want to "go back to the policies of the 70’s - that supposedly Paul Ryan is going to impose on the country.

Better than Obama’s 1970s agenda. Weather Underground, Saul Alinsky, 1970s tax rates, economic malaise, gas shortages, and of course the Middle East going up in flames.

I keep hearing he’ll take us women back to the 50’s. Don’t know about anyone else, but I’m looking forward to it. There were JOBS then and the US was in an economic boom.

And yet the majority of Catholics voted for him then and will probably vote for him again.
Hmmmmm, I have to wonder what that really means.

:ehh:
It really means that for many Catholics, their politics means more to them than their religion.

Is this the same Dick Morris who claimed back in '08 that Hilary Clinton would win the Dem nomination?

🤷
Think so but the facts he is saying are correcting. Polls are using a 2008 model of turn out for the 2012 election and that is not realistic
