Such denial ,shifting the sins to those you consider advesaries.
  1. You brought up the sins.
  2. You’ve made claims, and haven’t provided a single shred of evidence. Thus, you are bearing false witness apparently.
  3. I could even find nasty rhetoric from both sides, if I looked. It is sad that even if you couldn’t think of any, you couldn’t even use google. For shame.

The minds are closed to allowing more abortions and gay so called marriage.
Of course, these are CA threads! We expect nothing less than to agree with it. You have every right to insert those facts as often as you wish. However, we must also speak our minds on all the other many very serious issues.,
And because we do not agree and vote for a candidate soley because of his positions on our moral social beliefs doesn’t mean we cannot vote for him .

Our bishops tell us we must discern both candidates and choose the less evil supporter.
My belief is, because Mr .Romny has changed his position on Pro-choice to Pro-life,( from being for it to being against it before seriously running for Office of the Commander in Chief )
I have great doubt, and do not completely trust him on the issue of abortion or many other issues concerning the common good of all the people. Most other posters here know well my position, and I really do not like pounding into the ground until it breaks off.

What do birthers have to do with the tea party? Absolutely nothing. Don’t know what the silent whistle is so I am too ignorant to comment.
Sorry to offend sensibilities, didn’t mean to. I always look up the meaning of things if I am interested enough;)Peace, Carlan

Ya-I couldn’t believe Romeny said Egypt, was not an ally and apologized to the Muslims for our embassies being attacked, Oh wait a minute-that was Obama who did that!
I didn’t say the gaffes of Romney but the gaffes of his campaign. Maybe blunders would be a better word. I mean the mistake of focusing on social issues and now foreign policy (here Romney is to blame by playing politics with the Libyan murders), instead of on the economy and jobs to the exclusion of everything else.

Obama is most likely not down by 10 or more points due to the skill of his campaign, the gaffes of Romney’s campaign, and the perceived weakness and lack of appeal of the Republican candidate himself.
Part of why Obama is still even or slightly up is the pro-Obama mainstream press. On CNN last night the big issue on Wolf Blitzer’s show wasn’t - why Egypt stopped being our ally, wasn’t the Obama middeast policy and the rise of radical Islam. Or Obama’s snub of Netanyahu. It was about… Romney’s statement - “was it appropriate?” “Did he know that the ambassador died before or after he made his statement?” etc, etc. Obama didn’t even come up. At the Romney press conference the mic caught the journalists discussing how they were going to trip up Romney. The press is biased and is not doing its job.

Still interested in if you have any facts/examples of hatred and vitriol of the Tea Partiers. Do you have any or will you be retracting your earlier statement?

And hasn’t since it fell in love with Obama during the 08 campaign. I still do not understand why Romney’s statement is being called a mistake other than the usual objective of the MSM to make him look bad. Listen to the statement. Is there anything inaccurate about it? The Obama administration ran for the hills after scrubbing the original embassy response because in fact they had to agree that it was inappropriate to appear to blame the video rather than point out that Egyptians were storming the place. With a bit of revisionist history some of the MSM is claiming that Romney shouldn’t have made the statement 'while our ambassador was being murdered." That no one was aware of the deaths of these four American heroes at the time is apparently irrelevant.

Then Obama claimed that Romney shoots first and aims later…literally word for word Carter’s claim about Reagan! Given that Obama’s got a serious foot in mouth problem (the Cambridge police acted stupidly…) he needs not to open his own mouth simply to change feet.

That Obama was apparently so heartbroken about the dead Ambassador that he read a statement with all the emotion of reading a grocery list and then jetted off to Las Vegas to crack some bad jokes and raise money. Then he had Mrs Clinton reading another statement with a deadpan expression and language suitable for first graders that again blamed the video for the violence.

And somehow ROMNEY has made a gaffe here?

The media is disgraceful. Having gone through Watergate, I was raised on the idea that a free press was our best defense against evil and corruption. Right now the press is complicit with both.

Look I live in nutty Oregon and everywhere I go I hear people saying they would NEVER vote again for Obama. I think there is a very large “Silent Majority” that is simply waiting to vote this amateur out of office.

Couldn’t agree more with your post. I am encouraged by your last statement. Here I
have been told the same from some who voted for Obama. In looking at the parking lot
at church, I have not seen any Obama bumper stickers (yes!), but I also have not seen
Romney stickers either. We are not a “swing” state, and bumper stickers are sold,
not given out. I have one on my car that says “I support Religious Freedom Romney
Ryan” and I did buy it.

Texas…lucky you! I’m getting my Romney Ryan lawn signs this weekend.

BTW forgot yet another Obama blunder. “Egypt is not our ally…blah blah” There were more than a few who found this a revelation. First they tried walking it back saying well “ally” is a specific term to refer to a country with which we have certain agreements. Obama being the great intellectual was speaking above us mere mortals. Then it was pointed out that Israel was in the same situation, lack of specific agreements. Does anyone think Israel is not an ally? Scurry rather than WALKING this one back.

It simply slays me that the MSM doesn’t at least hedge its bets. If they bet on the wrong horse and Romney wins, they are going to spend the next four years trying to get access to the same man they were trying to destroy. Good luck with that…

It’s fair that you have doubt. Much better to go with the very clearly anti-life candidate.

You have resources look them up, You will be enlightened!
Dear Carlan-
When one makes an accusation, it is up to the one to provide the source. Yes, you have the resources, please look them up. (rules of logic 101).

Peace…

They don’t hedge their bets because they are dedicated liberals who think its their mission to get Obama re-elected. They are the product of our education system which churns out liberals.

Nothing new here. We know that Romney is a liar and a hypocrite. Just look at his record, and compare it to what he says. Simple.

His most recent statements show that he lacks the judgement of a normal person his age. Obviously not presidential material.

Every president struggles in his first term these days, even when they are brilliant like Reagan, Clinton, or Obama. Bush of course was a dummy, and look at the results of his presidency. We are still trying to mop up the mess, with great suffering here and in other parts of the world. Romney appears to be about average in intelligence, which makes him unsuitable for the job. His advisors will control him because he is not smart enough.

But his dishonesty is also an issue. A presidential tax evader. Not the first one, but at least we know that he is a cheat before we go to the ballot box.\

The more interesting question is, why does the republican party put people like this up for nomination? They know what they are doing. They knew that Mr. Bush was stupid. They knew that McCain was lacking intellectually. They know that Romney is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. It seems that one would want a smart president, since the rest of the world is smart, and we have such complex problems.

Politics:eek:.I have heard enough of the finger pointing, criticisms and anger.
I will just now wait for the debates and then the results.
I will then hope and pray,President Obama or Mr.Romney our leader, when his time is up,
will leave our Country and its citizens safer and better off.
Peace to all ,Carlan 🙂

“The import of weapons must be stopped, because without the weapons import the war could not continue,” he said. “Instead of the weapons import, which is a grave sin, we should import ideas of peace and creativity and find solutions to accept each other with our differences.”
Our Holy Father is calling on the international community to stop the arming of the rebels calling it a grave sin. Both Romney and Obama support this.
Romney supports evil policies like Obama and both shouldn’t be supported by Catholics IMO.

Don’t think that you hear the silent whistle or you either ignore it.

Not quite sure what you mean. Are you speaking about political dog-whisltes? I’ve heard certain phrases are a “dog whistle” for racism, ie, “Chicago”, “Clint,” “Medicare,” “debt,” “jobs,” “foreign policy”, " rutubaga", “quantitative easing”, etc

  • You said Romney is too stupid to be an effective preisdent, Bush was dumb, Romney is a tax evader, McCain wasn’t bright. Can you provide a link for any of this? Or was your entire post written you get written to simply deride conservatives? How bright is Obama? Oh right, we have no college records…
Regardless of how smart any President is, they’ve achieved being elected to the Presidency, whereas you have achieved posting childish, anonymous insults on the Internet. I’d say they are doing fine, relatively speaking.

Obama assumed office with no business experience and very limited governmental experience. Obama never ran a lemonade stand, much less a municipality, county, or state. Obama has proven associations with Communists (Frank Marshall Davis), terrorists (BillAyers, Bernadine Dohrn), and a radical black liberation theologian (Reverend Wright), among others of similar repute. Obama supports anti-Catholic positions (HHS mandate, gay marriage, abortion). You have no proof that Romney is a “presidential tax evader”. In fact, you made several general statements about Romney’s character without any specific facts to support your position. Your arguments are baseless.

Our Holy Father is calling on the international community to stop the arming of the rebels calling it a grave sin. Both Romney and Obama support this. Romney supports evil policies like Obama and both shouldn’t be supported by Catholics IMO.
Then what is your alternative to Romney or Obama? Stay home?
