Mitt Romney is far and away the very best candidate in this election and that is why Obama is losing in the polls. The polls have zero to do with voter suppression as bellasbane would want to believe. Clearly we should focus this thread on the issue which is Romney taking down a failed president. May the Holy Spirit continue to clear away the chaos and confusion that the evil one wants to create.

Stealing is an intrinsic evil. Stealing an election is both intrinsically and gravely evil. All the piety in the world doesn’t change that. Think about it.

Tea Party Republicans who support these voter ID laws bring shame upon their memory and the principle they fought for by co-opting the name…

Did Mitt Romney make a birther joke?

It sure seemed like it Friday morning as he made remarks before a crowd of more than 1,000 here in Michigan, the state where he was born and raised.

“I love being home, in this place where Ann and I were raised, where both of us were born,” Romney said as his wife, Ann, and Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) stood next to him on the podium.

“Ann was born in Henry Ford Hospital, I was born in Harper Hospital. No one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate; they know that this is the place where both of us were born and raised,” he said.

The reason for posting this was to keep track of campaign rhetoric, not to re-ignite the question of whether or not Mr. Obama is a natural born citizen or not.

I find myself usually in Mr. Romney’s court (can’t believe I’m saying that) when it comes to heated rhetoric. But I personally think he messed up with that little jab. It won’t gain him any votes…and it very well may lose him some.

I simply took it to mean that Romney would win because it would be an honest election with no more “vote early, vote often” folks and no more dogs and dead people voting there.🤷

And, your claim that Republicans intention for Voter ID was to disenfranchise Democrats so they can win requires evidence that the “millions” of people who don’t have proper ID and/or can’t get it are majority Democrat?

How does requiring Voter ID target Democrats, exactly?

Wow, have we really stooped to this? Is Gotch all we care about?

I guess Romney isn’t qualified to be president because of this remark and Pres. Obama isn’t qualified to be president because of his remarks refering to Romney’s dog.

I wonder what ever happened to the grownups in this country.😦

I can’t wait until this electoral season is over.

Romney’s quip was aimed at the substantial “birther” segment in the GOP. It got an enthusiastic response from the audience.

However, Obama’s campaign might respond that a lot of people have asked to see Romney’s tax returns…😃

i don’t see anything wrong with the remark. obama’s birth certificate dilemma is like the elephant in the room. mitt romney and his wife are obviously proud of their home state and glad to be back home in familiar territory. they built a life there. he might have been sentimental reminiscing about his roots in his home state - nothing more.
 
Does the convention begin on Sunday? what about all the people who are supposed to speak? they won’t postpone the convention?

i was hoping the hurricane would change course and move further to the west.
too bad this had to happen.

the republicans seems to have bad luck with hurricanes. 😦
 
I think Romney should tell Obama and his people that he will publish his tax returns after Obama releases his College and Graduate School grade transcripts!
Then we all can see if he actually did the work or was the beneficiary of social passing.
I think the privacy issues are the same for both men.
