Even if what he says is true? Russia is no friend of the US and has acted against our interests on numerous occations.

What he said is false.

Russia is not our enemy, but not our greatest friend either, but also not the greatest threat to peace in the world.

Either way, Romney’s statement was reckless.

Of course they have. I was forced to drop my employees insurance becauee ot the HHS mandate.

John, I agree with what you wrote above. My issue is why would you vote for a man who picked this fight with the Catholic Church?

Who gave the HHS secretary so much power?

Do you think it’s coincidence that Obama surrounds himself with dissident Catholics to support his policies?

I don’t think a lot of Catholics have any clue what the HHS mandate really says. And I don’t think many Catholics really realize what’s going to happen in 2014 if this thing is not dismantled. When Catholic institutions start shutting down, they’ll be whining but it will be too late.

Obama has openly and viciously attacked the Church. If Catholics don’t respond by voting him out of office, then whatever else he does to them, is what they get. No sympathy from me. You snooze, you lose.

It has been talked about in our parish and in our Archdiocese. We prayed the prayer for two weeks in July. There is no excuse for any Catholic voting for Obama. Yet I see Obama stickers on the cars of people who regularly attend mass. :confused:

He has said for months he would repeal and replace ObamaTax but those with pre exising conditions should be protected

There’s nothing wrong with that. WE do need some reform of the medical system. Besides there’s no going back to where we were. IT’s being implemented already, today, at your doctor’s office and mine.

We just don’t need the attack on Catholics. And we don’t need the crazier parts of the law, including the massive database which is a violation of privacy, the fines, the individual mandate and the medicare cuts.

Not only pre-existing conditions, he also said that he would allow parents to not only keep their kids on their health insurance policies until age 26 as the law now has it, but as long as they want.

He also said he likes many parts of Obama Care.

Of course he does, it was based on Romney Care, and that’s according to Romney’s adviser who put together Romney Care.

It only takes 51 Senate votes to repeal it (assuming, please God, a Romney victory).
He can effectively “freeze” it while waiting for it to be dismantled by granting all 50 states an exception to having to implement it.

Nope, it will take 60 to get to defeat a filibuster, which the democrats will surely invoke if they try to repeal a big piece of legislation that was approved by a prior congressional body.

It will also set a precedent we as a nation can’t afford. Every time control of congress changes political hands, they’ll repeal laws enacted by the previous congress, just out of revenge for the opposing party.

Except you keep forgetting the subsidiarity part. What’s good at the local level is not always good at the federal level.
