Modest Church attire for girls

You are so right and it is a relief that her in-between size means that she can fit a woman’s size dress.
My hesitation is that by labeling as a woman’s dress or a wedding dress the price increases dramatically.

I have also seen some really nice dresses on Etsy. I have never ordered through Etsy, it’s good to know that it’s a reputable

Any good bridal store will have flower girl or jr bridesmaid dresses in white.
Around here, Dillards, Macy’s JC Penney all carry communion dresses.
In Texas, any Hispanic shopping area will have oodles of modest choices.

There are whole websites devoted to Communion dresses as well.

Zulily just had an event that had several nice ones. I don’t know if they’re still available. Our local Catholic supply store sells them. That’s where the parents are sent when they complain that they can’t find anything.

I am trying to look online for a Communion dress for your daughter, but don’t know what size she wears. May I ask what size she wears? (If that is too personal, I apologize).

It depends on the individual vendor. Check their feedback, history, etc. 🙂 Also, because they’re smaller businesses, they can often take more specialized orders–so if, for example, you’d like a jacket made of the organza from your DD’s baptism gown, you may well find a seller to whom you could send the fabric to make up into one of their offered styles.

Slacks and a shirt don’t exactly scream “festive” for the occasion.

A major occasion merits a pretty dress.

Also, she’ll probably be bummed out if she sees a bunch of other girls dolled up in white lace dresses, veils and little white satin gloves. Being an older girl, she may consider herself “too big” for the gloves and veil, but I think she ought to have the option if she wants it.

Also, take pictures (but don’t make it an ordeal). We took our daughter to some gardens on a college campus and got lots of good pictures.

I’m guessing someone did this because clothing threads sometimes turn nasty. This one has been lovely, though so… shrug

I think it’s so nice to be thinking and sharing about First Holy Communion dresses and everyone was being pleasant- That’s why I was wondering.🤷

Sometimes people just don’t understand the system.

I know on Amazon that people often leave positive reviews–with one star.
