The point could be that muslims usually take other’s achievements and claim them as their own? That could be the point.
The muslims invaded India in three major jihads that devastated a more advanced society than the muslim’s society. They took slaves - some of whom converted out of force (there is that ‘no compulsion’ thing again), or to live without muslim atrocities forced on them.
The Taj Mahal that the muslims have claimed one of theirs built - was an Indian (forced) convert.

Before you cast the fool and bigot words, you might want to find out a little about to whom you are casting them. R-not is more familiar with Muslims and Islam than you know. Even if she wasn’t, please remember to be charitable.

Oh, I didn’t mean to be uncharitable, but indeed, Aquinas was both fascinated by and furthered such Arabic works! That’s really all I was saying. I know I can be a little harsh and all, but I meant no personal insult. Pax?

We should keep in mind that Muslims got access to Greek Philosophy through the Christians of Alexandria. So in a sense Christendom was taking what was originally hers.

Weeeel, the adaptation of Indian numeration on a widescale basis, algebra, serious chemical inquiry - although the Greeks were on their way there, scientific method re: induction, etc and just a smidgeon. And the Greeks who came up with postulating there were Pagans, pretty much, except for the later Romanized and Alexandrian scholars, who I certainly would not count out). And the Arabs also expanded on Roman technology too (biggest Roman invention? Concrete!) - and we in the present day do all these things and mashup constantly ourselves!
So, don’t go hatin’ , guy. The whole of humanity is doing better and better, admittedly with some screwups along the way - but that’s how the omelet gets made, and we continue to become master chefs as we go! For all my Biercian bitterness, I remain a wildeyed optimist, contrarian as it is.

In islam most thinking on such matters as these men you mentioned are not encouraged. I find it ironic that these men didn’t figure out their own religion and prophet - who was a despicable character. How could these guys follow such a guy as mohammed? An Adulterer, Bandit, Immoral, Inhuman, Looter,
Lecher, Misogynist, Murderer, Materialistic,
Narcissist, Pedophile, Raider, Rapist, Slavetrader, Sexmaniac, Terrorist, Torturer, Unfair, Vengeful Warlord. But, it is true I don’t know the character of these men and they might have supported those muslims who waged the violent jihad too and killed others just because they were not muslims, or enslaved them, or did other despicable things to them.
