inJESUS;4799668:
I believe that the Lord of the Worlds revealed the Qur’an in Arabic, and therefore that the pure Arabic language is far superior
to English. But the reason I used the Arabic word, “Shaytan” instead of the English “Satan” is because my post was directed at you, an Arabic speaker.

Sister Amy is promoting that the International language used should be Arabic. So, when all the world’s leader speak in the United Nations, they must give their presentation in Arabic or translated into Arabic.

I vote for Esparantu:thumbsup:

Actually the companions could see what *Muhammad *said is an angel…his wife thought she was a man she knew, for example, until Muhammad said no, it was Gabriel but the woman swore she thought she knew the guy.

Sister Amy, et al, have tried to convince us that the Qur’an is true because of its perfection. As proof, they have maintained that it has remained “perfect” because not one word has been altered down through the ages. To illustrate how ridiculous this claim is, consider Old English of the Middle Ages with Modern English today:

In Old English:

Here bygynneth the Book of the Tales of Caunterbury

Whan that Aprill, with his shoures soote
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote
And bathed every veyne in swich licour,
Of which vertu engendred is the flour;
Whan Zephirus eek with his sweete breeth
Inspired hath in every holt and heeth
The tendre croppes, and the yonge sonne
Hath in the Ram his halfe cours yronne,
And smale foweles maken melodye,
That slepen al the nyght with open eye-
(So priketh hem Nature in hir corages);
Thanne longen folk to goon on pilgrimages
And palmeres for to seken straunge strondes
To ferne halwes, kowthe in sondry londes;
And specially from every shires ende
Of Engelond, to Caunterbury they wende,
The hooly blisful martir for to seke
That hem hath holpen, whan that they were seeke.

In Modern English:

When in April the sweet showers fall
That pierce March’s drought to the root and all
And bathed every vein in liquor that has power
To generate therein and sire the flower;
When Zephyr also has with his sweet breath,
Filled again, in every holt and heath,
The tender shoots and leaves, and the young sun
His half-course in the sign of the Ram has run,
And many little birds make melody
That sleep through all the night with open eye
(So Nature pricks them on to ramp and rage)
Then folk do long to go on pilgrimage,
And palmers to go seeking out strange strands,
To distant shrines well known in distant lands.
And specially from every shire’s end
Of England they to Canterbury went,
The holy blessed martyr there to seek
Who helped them when they lay so ill and weak.

To claim that any language, including Arabic, is so special that it is exempt from change in 1,400 years is the height of the absurd.

P.S. Remember also that Arabic is soooo perfect that it is not understandable by non-native speakers.

A poster above actually said he believed that Paul saw Jesus. Totally unsubstantiated claim.

I wouldn’t believe Muhammad saw an angel or was a prophet, not unless there was some kind of “sign” to prove he was sent by God. But there are many “signs,” in fact there’s a whole book full of “signs.”

Like i always tell my muslim friends who argue about the power and glory of god- is your allah so weak that he does not have power to become man? is your allah so confused that he cannot remember the OT inspired passages proclaiming the coming of the messiah, the son, the child, mighty god. Is your allah so powerless that he could not stop mere humans from corrupting the OT and NT, as Muslims claim?
He is so weak he cannot bind himself to a covenant with man.
Is he so without reason?
If God was without reason, this world would make no sense at all. He “has ordered all things in measure, number, and weight."

It is men who are weak–not God.
This did not address the question. It is merely a statement of faith with no regard to the substance of the question posed by nosadl.

Here it is again, because I have never seen a reasonable or remotely satisfactory answer to this from Muslims.

Is your allah so inglorious that the only glory he can imagine is a submissive kingdom of muslims on earth? Is he so without reason? Is his mercy and compassion which Muslims proclaim, so limited that adulterers have to be stoned, thieves have to have their hands cut off?

That’s what all their answers are.

And we never will. This does more damage to Islam than if they said nothing.

This whole thing reminds me of Hotel California - Eagles -Last verse…
**Last thing I remember,
I was running for the door.
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before.
“Relax,” said the night man,
“We are programmed to receive.
You can checkout any time you like,
But you can never leave!” **
😃

Muhammad denied that Jesus is the Son of God, so we know that he was the Antichrist, He denied the Death and resurrection of Christ, he denied the Holy Trinity, all these are essential Christian doctrines.
Come on Muslims, answer us Christians.😃
True. Gal.1:6-9 declares a curse upon him for preaching another gospel.

One quick thing - Jesus spoke Aramaic, not Arabic.
And it is an ancient language that I do believe has drifted away.
