Thank you all very much for all of your advice and words and points of view!

i do agree that it is my Christian obligation to bring Christ into her life and everyone thats been placed in front of me in all circumstances. i do believe that preaching can be done silently as well: i.e. actions vs. words. just so, i also believe that at the moment that i should rather pray for her, my husband, and all the people involved (and all of you as well:)) rather than be with them, and that that would fulfill my Christian obligation as a spiritual work of mercy. its no less efficacious, and probably much more so than if i started beating her with words and “religion” because thats the last thing im sure she wants to hear (she went on this rage about how she hates baptism and the f’ing Christians killed us (being the witches) and all sorts of horrible stuff came out of her mouth…this is after shes told me that she has no problem with what other people believe!). if the Good Lord sent me someplace either good or dangerous by His own Hand, that might be different. i know He has control over everything that happens as long as i rely totally on Him. i believe that at the moment the best thing is prayer because its something thats closer and more intimate than being physically next to her can ever be. its someplace where God, who can move hearts without violating anyones free will, can do all things. by praying for her very much, i hope God will bring her to a conversion and transformation of heart.

Swan, i will pray for you:) i hope you find the peace of the Lord and find your way home. may the Holy Spirit flood you with His grace and healing in all aspects of your life:)

masterjedi747 lol i cant imagine what would happen if i put a basket of sacramentals in her house! though i did have a medal fall off my Rosary (i think it was either St. Joseph or the Holy Family) and i purposefully tried to “forget” it there. its weird because her mothers side was Catholic, though i think her mom was wiccan too (if there wasnt a whole line of them going way back…hmm, cant quite remember exactly, but might have been) so i think for some of them that Catholicism was a front for them to be wiccan. strange. maybe a lot of her issues are because of ancestral sins? but anyways, i like the pot-holder idea. i could get one and sew it into the mit on the inside or something. hmmm…youve got my thinking gears going!

i know i keep saying it but thanks for all your support! ironically, im typing all of this on the laptop my hubbie borrowed from her…dun dun dun;)

oh, and i have to add/ask: does it seem to anyone else that theres lots of wiccan and new age people around? cos my family has another family friend (i know, its crazy here in new england…too much snow. ill blame it on that :)) whos a “medium” and my family is wrapped on every word she says! its disgusting, really. i gave them a HUGE earful and they still dont believe me. theyre supposed to be upright…solid… Catholics that know not to get involved in this stuff. (and i asked my aunt and her husband to be my sponsors for Confirmation ages ago and now that ill be starting classes in sept/oct i dont want her to be my sponsor because shes so easily swept away with this stuff. i need someone whos firm in their faith…and now that ive been thinking on it, someone whos way older than me (im 25)). not to mention the girl i work with who practices candle magick and wiccan house cleansing (on her house) and does reiki, my uncle whos a massage therapist and he does energy healing (i just let him know that thats a no-no the other day)…its everywhere! any thoughts? i havent been to my grandmas house for about 2 or 3 weeks because it was just the same conversations over and over : the medium says this, the medium says that…yadda yadda yadda…my ears were VERY tired…!

ah well, im glad to have you guys to talk to!👍

Love in Christ,

becks:)

k guys! pray hard 😃 hes going over her house tonight! (panic attack! )

another interesting thing i “stole” (;)) from another thread i was reading through:

2 Thessalonians 3:13-15 “But you, brothers, do not be remiss in doing good. If anyone does not obey our word as expressed in this letter, take note of this person not to associate with him, that he may be put to shame.Do not regard him as an enemy but admonish him as a brother.”

(in this case, “sister”)

:amen:

:extrahappy: :bounce: :dancing: HEHE! my hubbie just decided that he was going to skip out on going to her house tonight! (Thank God!) 😃 :extrahappy: :bounce: :dancing:

First off, if you don’t like her, don’t visit. Second, if you husband wants to visit her, just let him go there. he’s grown up and should know what he’s doing.
Third: apparently, this woman doesn’t mean any harm to you. she gave you protection stuff, why would that do any harm to you. If God was that petty (and I don’t believe he is) lighting would already have set hr house aflame.
In fact, I know several wiccans myself and found them all very caring and loving persons. They believe that whatever they do comes back to them threefold, which alone would be enough to prevent them from harming anyone.
And for God’s sake please don’t embarrass the whole lot of us by praying for her. She’s grown up, she knows what she’s doing, she’s happy with it.
Same thing goes for her sons. If I interpreted it right, they love each other, and no bloody thing on earth (or heaven for that matter) gives you the right to pray against LOVE. remember, God is Love. (plus I might add i can name about half a dozen species of animals where same-sex relationships are perfectly normal; so the point of it being ‘unnatural’ is working, either.

You seem to have resurrected an ancient thread simply to tell us:
  1. Prayer is an ‘embarrassment’
  2. Same-sex couplings are ‘natural.’
We ALL must obey God’s law, whether you like it or not.

To the OP, please do not listen or pay any attention to anything written in the above post. Anyone who would plead for you to NOT pray against anything that is obviously not of God is not the person you should listen to about this subject.

Thank you Jesus n Cherie for your response! i actually hadnt read the above post…its been a while! however, i totally agree with you.

as for the previous poster, if YOU feel embarrassed by the fact that i pray for ANYONE - regardless of religion - then you can go and feel embarrassed until your face blushes purple with your “humiliation” for all i care! if you want to go and hide and hunker down because im saying that im praying for those who believe differently, that is your deal. i dont care if the whole world were going to be on my back for praying for someone, and in fact, i cannot think of a better way to help someone, especially given this situation…after all, Jesus DID say to pray for your enemies.

i do not say that she is not a loving person, nor that i would refuse her my love as a human being. in fact, she has a special place in my heart specifically because she has had a very rough life, and yes, because i want to help bring Christ to her in one way or another because i fully believe that she needs that love to the extreme to help heal those wounds of her past…if she is in my path to meet and if she is in my path to pray for, there is no other better way to help her than however God sends me and directs me.

think what you will, but i am not praying AGAINST love or God, but for an increase in God’s love in a special way…also known as “praying for God’s grace”.

as for same sex relations…you cant play popsicle sticks and you cant play bumper cars (if you get my drift)…something always naturally wants to go somehwere and something naturally wants something somewhere…if the peices dont fit, it wasnt meant to be. however, i would be interested to hear your list of same-sex animals…though maybe in a different thread.

“apparently, this woman doesn’t mean any harm to you. she gave you protection stuff”

Protection stuff of Satan. God does not allocate “protection stuff”, so if she has some, its evil. That will harm anyone.

“I know several wiccans myself and found them all very caring and loving persons.”

I’m glad they are polite and nice, but being nice does not mean you are being holy.

"And for God’s sake please don’t embarrass the whole lot of us by praying for her. She’s grown up, she knows what she’s doing, she’s happy with it. "

Indeed she has the free will to choose as she pleases. She is also accountable for her decisions to God on her day of judgment, just as we all are.

"remember, God is Love. "

God also says “Follow my commandments”, which wiccans clearly are not. From idolatry to witchcraft, the practice of wicca is not of God and thus inherently evil.

“plus I might add i can name about half a dozen species of animals where same-sex relationships are perfectly normal; so the point of it being ‘unnatural’ is working, either.”

Please name a single species that can reproduce with the same sex.
If all kangaroos were to become same sex only, the species would fail in mere years.
It goes against natural order.

Protection stuff can do plenty of harm. If I gave my five year old my gun for protection, that could certainly harm him.

Loving persons? To love someone is to desire the greatest and best thing for them which is Heaven. To spend eternity loving, serving, thanking, and praising God. If that’s not what they want for the other person, it’s not authentic love.

I would be more embarrassed if she DIDN’T pray for her.

Does she really know what she’s doing? Dabbling with?

How do you know that she is really happy with it? I know many alcoholics who keep doing what they are not happy with it.

You are absolutely right that we have no right to pray against love. Your definition of love, however, is not the correct one. It is correct for her to pray in this situation.

Perhaps some animals have had same-sex relations. We are humans. We know the difference between right and wrong. They are animals, they don’t.

Well Wicca has no connection with satanism, and their gods are nature gods and one represents femininity and another masculinity. They work with nature and love it. I don’t know their names. I do know their witchcraft based on wicca ways is for good only, but there are bad witches, but they aren’t wicca because if they cast an evil spell it goes threefold which means it hits them much stronger. Wicca spells are meant for good only and working with the universe to make it a better place. Satanism has nothing to do with their religion, and it’s a common myth. It’s just like any other pagan religion, except they bring in special rituals and magic.

That’s all I know.

But don’t worry if she is indeed wicca, then nothing from her is from Satan and nothing from her is directly evil. She means no harm, but she’s meddling with things beyond her. I cannot say its indirectly evil though, but witchcraft is evil.

If you were me, I would probably just accept her just as any other pagan religious worshiper. I would enter her house as well (I’m just curious). But she doesn’t know what she is talking about, and I think she believes she’s a whole whoowhoo psychic woman, but she isn’t since she made a huge error like that. If she was really into the psychic thing, then that was her point to prove. I just think she’s doing this because she wants to feel like she has more control over the world, and because she is devoted to her religion regardless. Nothing more than just an old woman (maybe a little foolish but I can’t judge her based on this perception) who practices pagan religion.

If it looks more than wicca, or if I sense evil then I wouldn’t enter. If it has any hint of evil then she’s definitively messing with something greater than she knows, it’s beyond what she is doing. That could be possible. Then it’s not really wicca anymore… but more.

Wicca is never as innocent as they like to portray their ‘faith.’

Thou shall have no gods before Me. Satan enters into the equation right there. Whenever we worship any other gods beside the one true God, it is the work of Satan.

Nature comes from God because He created it. To ascribe his creation to another “god” is objectively sinfull.

A person may cast Wicca spells thinking that they are only doing good, but that is a misconception. Any recourse to witchcraft is a sin. And it’s a gateway to further sin. If one wishes to do someone good, one should pray for them. Then the true God, who knows all, can give them the best help for them in their particular situation.

Father Gabriele Amorth, a respected exorcist, stated “Those who practice any sort of magic believe that they can manipulate superior powers, but in reality it is they who are manipulated.”

Thank you for stating the TRUTH.

Having an idol does not necessarily equate directly to worshipping satan. However, worshipping something other than God means you are worshipping something finite. Satan cannot mimic God for God is far beyond Satan’s scope. Satan can mimic a finite concept, however.

I consider myself a witch. I make no attempt to manipulate superior powers. I ask God to grant me the power to perform the “magic” I perform. I ask God for the wisdom to discern his holy power from the false leads that Satan will try to send my way. I depend wholly on God, his omniscience, and his omnipotence for power.

Yes, there is a possibility for Satan to fool me, trick me; but there is equal possibility for Satan to fool or trick any person with a miracle that is seemingly from God. I do the only thing any of us, witches or not, can do. I trust God the Father to guide me and protect me.

Why would God forbid the practice of witchcraft only to grant you the power to perform witchcraft?

Yeah, doesn’t exactly make sense. Even people who don’t actively worship Satan can be serving him indirectly.
