More Evidence Emerges Elizabeth Warren Lied About Being Fired for Pregnancy

New evidence emerged Monday that Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has been untruthful in telling voters she was fired from a teaching job because she was “visibly pregnant.”

As Breitbart News noted Sunday, Warren’s campaign tale was called into question by a 2007 interview in which she suggested she left for lack of qualifications and interest.

County records published by the Washington Free Beacon on Monday confirm that Warren resigned and was never fired. . . . .

. . . The Riverdale Board of Education approved a second-year teaching contract for a young Elizabeth Warren, documents show, contradicting the Democratic presidential candidate’s repeated claims that she was asked not to return . . .

. . . Warren was hired on an “emergency” basis because she lacked the necessary education qualifications, despite graduating from George Washington University with a degree in speech pathology, and supposedly pursuing a lifelong dream of being a public school teacher.

In the course of her presidential campaign, Warren has repeatedly told the nation a very different story — one in which an old-fashioned male principal discriminated against her because of her pregnancy. . . . .

Yes but why let the facts spoil a good narrative. She must find a way to play the victim (for there is nobody on Earth more noble than the victim) somehow and what better way than some nasty male unjustly firing her. In this post truth era the narrative is more important than the facts. They even tell us mathematical truths are relative and racist and oppressive (search Seattle school district and racist math) so how can we claim any truth at all.

Warren’s campaign is now doubling-down on this.

Warren faces mounting questions on another part of her personal story: Was she fired for being pregnant?

By Adam Shaw | Fox News

Elizabeth Warren stands by claim she was fired from teaching job because of pregnancy

Newly surfaced video appears to contradict Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren’s claim that she was fired from teaching job after becoming ‘visibly pregnant’; reaction and analysis from Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., who in recent weeks has been surging in the polls in the Democratic presidential primary race, sought Tuesday to clarify another part of her personal story that’s been called into question — namely, her claim that she was fired in the 1970s for being pregnant.

Warren has long told the story of how in 1971 she was fired in the first year of her teaching job because she was “visibly pregnant.” It has been presented as a key moment in her story, propelling her toward Harvard and eventually politics. . . .

. . . Most recently, The Washington Free Beacon located county records from the local school board, showing that the board in April 1971 voted to extend Warren a second-year contract similar to the one she held the previous year.

A few months later in June, the minutes show that her resignation was “accepted with regret.” . . .

. . . .Speaking to CBS, she also stood by her claim of being “shown the door” by the principal. . . .

. . . . This isn’t the first controversy surrounding Warren’s backstory. The beginning of her campaign was dogged by questions about her claim to have Native American heritage.

In February she apologized to Cherokee Nation for taking a DNA test to prove her ancestry — a test that an analysis found suggested she was between 1/64th and 1/1,024th Native American.
Bold mine.

She needs to learn to let things die (as does Trump, and every politician). Doubling down (especially for a democrat, because the media will bury it if you allow them to) makes no sense.

Because those who would fire a person (or ask them to resign) for being pregnant would also be super ready to admit they did such a thing?

Why ask them? Warren explained why she left teaching in great detail in a 2007 television interview.

Exactly. Here are here own words from that interview.
I was married at nineteen and graduated from college after I’d married, and my first year post-graduation I worked in a public school system with the children with disabilities. I did that for a year, and then that summer I didn’t have the education courses, so I was on an “emergency certificate,” it was called. I went back to graduate school and took a couple of courses in education and said, “I don’t think this is going to work out for me.” I was pregnant with my first baby, so I had a baby and stayed home for a couple of years, and I was really casting about, thinking, “What am I going to do?”

I guess you missed the part where it was found in real time records, not statements made recently.

Records show they extended her; stop defending her lie, as you certainly don’t extend that courtesy to anyone else it would seem.

Mainstream Network Media trying to ignore this (which means I will keep discussing it).

Liberal media ignore Elizabeth Warren’s lie about pregnancy-related firing

October 8, 2019 (NewsBusters) — Just like in 2016, the networks have done their best to ignore Democrat presidential candidate scandals and lies while harping on everything surrounding Donald Trump. After capitalizing on her grossly exaggerated Native American ancestry, frontrunner Elizabeth Warren has been caught in another lie, by her own words from twelve years ago. However, you wouldn’t know this if you only watched ABC, NBC and CBS.

In the last several months, Warren has been rehashing a story about how she was fired by a principal, ending her first year of teaching, because she was “visibly pregnant,” several times. She told this story half a dozen times (it even made her autobiography), but most recently this past Wednesday. When she told this story at a campaign stop this past May, it couldn’t be more clear that she was claiming to be a victim of workplace discrimination:
I loved it, and I would probably still be doing it today but back in the day, before unions, the principal, by the time we got to the end of the first year, I was visibly pregnant, " Warren said to a room full of teachers and students at a campaign stop in Philadelphia. She added: " And the principal did what principals did in those days: they wished you luck, showed you the door, and hired someone else for the job. And there went my dream.
However this story caught the attention of Bernie Sanders supporter . . . .

.

.

And this isn’t the first time the media has attempted to gloss over these issues with Liz.

This from back in 2017 . . . .

Just keep this kind of thing in mind when you view the Network (“Net”) News or the Mainstream Media outlets.

They are attempting to fool the voters again instead of just reporting the news.

They are probably a little more consumed with Trump’s refusal to allow testimony from his people into the impeachment inquiry alleging Trump abused his power. I think they are making the right call on what to cover. But keep up with really good news sources like LifeSiteNews. Maybe a little Gateway Pundit next time?

I can’t recall ever posting anything from “Gateway Pundit”. I probably have. I even post things from CNN once in awhile.

So I went over and checked them out.

Hey. Thanks for the recommendation @drcube!

WATCH: Warren Doubles Down On Claim She Was Once Fired For Being Pregnant

. . . Warren wrote on Twitter. “This was 1971, years before Congress outlawed pregnancy discrimination — but we know it still happens in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. We can fight back by telling our stories. I tell mine on the campaign trail, and I hope to hear yours.” . . .

. . . Warren also said on CBS on Monday that her latest account is accurate. “When someone calls you in and says the job that you’ve been hired for for the next year is no longer yours. ‘We’re giving it to someone else,’ I think that’s being shown the door,” she said.

It’s not the first time a Warren story has prompted scrutiny. The Massachusetts Democrat claimed for decades that she was Native American. President Trump began calling her “Pocahontas,” and she eventually decided to take a DNA test.

The test results showed she may have had a Native American ancestor — six to 10 generations ago, from somewhere on either the North or South American contient. That means she’s anywhere from 1/64 to 1/1,024 Native American. To put those terms into percentages, that means she’s between 1.562 percent and .0924 percent — so that means she’s anywhere from 98.437 percent to 99.9 percent white.

Warren was listed as Native American in the Association of American Law School Directory, and according to The Boston Globe, she “had her ethnicity changed from white to Native American at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she taught from 1987 to 1995, and at Harvard University Law School, where she was a tenured faculty member starting in 1995.”

Some critics say she got the Harvard slot by claiming to have Native ancestry, thereby snagging a job that might have been reserved for a minority.

“Harvard Law School in the 1990s touted Warren, then a professor in Cambridge, as being Native American,’” CNN reported in November 2017. “They singled her out, Warren later acknowledged, because she had listed herself as a minority in an Association of American Law Schools directory.”

A 1997 Fordham Law Review article identified the Democrat as Harvard Law’s “first woman of color.” Warren even submitted recipes to a family cookbook called “Pow Wow Chow,” which was released in 1984 by the Five Civilized Tribes Museum in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She signed her entries, which included a crab and tomato salad, “Elizabeth Warren — Cherokee.”

Yes, Gateway Pundit. The website that brought you PizzaGate that conservatives still post links to as if no one can remember PizzaGate.

Well I don’t recall ever posting any pizzagate items either.

And I don’t recall seeing any here recently.

Do you have a few recent (“still”) links? I want to see what those doggone conservatives are up to.

How did the Gateway Pundit fare on the phony almost three year Trump-Russian-Collusion narrative? Did they swallow it and suffer their viewers to put up with that fake story day after day?

How did they do with Covington Catholic? (I don’t know. I don’t recall doing Gateway Pundit but I will now.)

How did the Gateway Guys handle the Cohen Bombshells?

No, I don’t remember you posting any PizzaGate items. Just enjoy the Gateway Pundit for an unfiltered for truth view of the world.

Records show they extended her
Come on. Records show that they extended her before they didn’t.
What was the reason for the “resignation”? Was it voluntary or was this a face being allowed to resign an accommodation, as it so often is? I don’t know the truth here, but the idea that there is clear evidence of a lie is not the least bit convincing.

but the idea that there is clear evidence of a lie is not the least bit convincing.
Are you kidding me? There are real time minutes from the meetings at which Warren claims she was fired for being pregnant. Do you really believe that Warren would keep her mouth shut if there was any other reason for her resignation other than what it actually was, her desire to resign?

This absolute inability of the left to find fault in any politician on the left makes me wonder about brainwashing. It is mind boggling.

Now I know the response will be, “but you support Trump and he is so…” rather than any defense of anyone’s position.

Are you kidding me?
No.

This is not a matter to belief. It a matter of fact and reason. The evidence provided that ostensibly shows that Warren lied, simply does not do that. A public statement about the regretfully accepting a resignation does not mean that someone was not fired. Think of the people leaving the Trump administration. And now you give us an a fallacious argument from silence.

People are entitled to whatever opinions they have about someone’s truthfulness. But they should not confuse their opinions with compelling arguments based on sound logic and objective facts. That is another matter altogether.
This absolute inability of the left to find …
Are you talking about me or this ill-defined ™left?
Now I know the response will be, “but you support Trump and he is so…
Your knowledge comes up short.
