More Prayers for Caleb

Now the judge has decided to throw out the case and start again. He is not happy with the whole prosecution of it. SIGH! So, here we go again.

Background…Caleb was 17 when he and two 16 year old friends stole some fireworks from the city display. Stupid thing to do, but they were kids. The two 16 year olds got off due to age.
The prosecutor decided to try Caleb as an adult…:rolleyes:
Caleb is being prosecuted under the homeland securities act since the prosecutor is trying for notches on his belt for re-election. The Judge thinks it is over the top to charge Caleb as though he were a terrorist. Now we are back to square one and will have to go through another trial as the Prosecutor refuses to back down. Pray the prosecutor doesn’t get re-elected …he is just looking for notches for his resume.

Continued prayers for Caleb - such a lot for him and all of you to go through.

And for the judge, jury (if there is one) and especially the prosecutor, that common sense may prevail.

Please Lord, bring wisdom and mercy where it can be best used. Also help Caleb to keep himself busy and purposeful to avoid temptation. Amen.

👍 I’ll have to ask my GD for more details. It’s her friend and a pretty long story as I can tell. All I get is smidgets of it now and then.
 
There is justice, and there is mercy. We each fear justice and pray for God’s mercy, especially in the case of Caleb.

Merciful Lord of all, take pity upon this young man, as he starts out in life, and inspire mercy in the heart of the prosecutor, that justice will be tempered with mercy. May the hearts of all involved turn to you in prayerful submission that Your Divine will be done. Strengthen Caleb and his entire family that they may be comforted during this process, placing all of their faith and trust in You, O Lord. We ask this through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, One God forever and ever, Amen.
