More than 200,000 Teachers out of work in US because of Abortion

Why would the parents take care of them if they wanted them aborted in the first place? Would you want to even subject a child to that kind of environment? It is safe to say that someone besides the parent will have to take care of the children, since the woman aborting the child obviously does not want it. It would be nice if all mothers accepted their kids after six months post birth, but I feel that this is a bit too optimistic given the huge responsibilities child rearing places on individuals who did not want them in the first place.

If it’s a choice between killing them an taking care of them, I’d rather spend public money on taking care of them than on killing on them. Adoption agencies don’t get as much attention as abortion clinics.

Parents who don’t want to take the time to raise children will no doubt expect someone else’s children to contribute to their social security and Medicare in their old age. I’m wondering if at some point the next generation will revolt, thinking, “wait a minute–these are the folks who wanted me dead, but now I’m supposed to support them through my taxes?”

I agree about the lack of attention adoption agencies get, but the needs of these kids go beyond that. These kids will need money, for education, Food, and even health care. Society must be willing to foot the bill and I don’t believe that the current conservative platform of cutting spending on social services can be reconciled with a pro-life stance.

Is it fair to say that a woman who realized that the govt wouldn’t support her financially in child rearing would suddenly depend on it for social benefits such as medicare. If anything, I feel she would be more skeptical of Govt assistance given its reluctance to support her if she would have kept the baby.

Personally I feel that campaign contributions to Pro-life politicians are a waste of money, since Roe v. Wade has been the law since 1973 and the nation is too gridlocked to bring about any real change on the issue. Money would be better spent on charities such as the St. Gabriel’s project and on education, especially for women.
