Yes most LDS are extraordinarily trusting of bishops and senior leadership. They are groomed to be that way from the time they are kids-- to see church leaders as spokesmen for God, and therefore it would never occur to most of them to be wary of such things. Unquestioning obedience is a virtue. Clearly this naivety on the part of parents can be dangerous.I can’t imagine these parents being alright with some man asking their children these types of questions. Are they that brainwashed?
