this is a person for whom the conversion was oneof convenience rahter than of heart, and was only in the past few months. we see her maybe once a weeks, and it never fails that some opportunity to remind her of her Cathilic faith doesn’t present itself. our home is full of reminders of course, but we don’t badger her in any way. today a rosary came in the mail while she was visiting, it was the perfect opportunity to say, honey somebody sent you a rosary, oh i’ve already got one, ooh look at the nice crucifix and the Miraculous Medal on it, etc.
“prop” is in this case accurate i would say, because it is a sign of the faith, not the rosary itself, which is a meditation upon the life of Jesus and Mary. i would say that if this lady had had a strong testimony of the Catholic Faith then she would never have taken a detour from it for the mere sake of a mormoan boy. again z you reveal a lack of knowledge about Catholic practice, such as your misuse ofthe Scriptures as if they shame the Rosary. under no circumstances is the Rosary objectionable to Scripture or vice vica.
yet time is on our side, and though a young person takes a wroing road there are other roads ahead which lead back to the right road, and of course we hope to be there to give directions when the times are right. I mean no offense to your religion, I believe it has some pieces of Christian truth.
