And do you have evidence that there is a god? Or is it by faith that you believe in god’s existence?“We take it on faith” is a better defense than anything else they’ve got.

Thanks for the videos I found them all to be quite interesting. It has been claimed by some posters that there is no evidence for the lds faith or the book of mormon. And yet, FAIRLDS the mormonapologetic equivalent to the catholic answers has released these videos. What do you think of the content of the videos??
It is broken up into 15 sections that equal out to be about an hour and 20 minutes. You may recognize some of the footage. They posted about 1/2 hour of it 6 months ago, but now there is an additional hour to watch.

It has nothing to do with the claims. Its a red herring to skirt the issue of scientific method to near historical/geneological claims. What does that have to do with the claims made in the videos you posted, whyme? Those videos are making claims about things that are known by scientific means: What languages were and were not spoken in ancient Mesoamerica, where the people of ancient Mesoamerica came from, etc. These are not even the same type of questions as whether or not there is a God. It’s not like you’re ever going to find ruins that ARE God in the same way that we’ve found ruins that are Mayan, or that we can check God’s DNA profile to determine His genetic ancestry in the way that we have with Native Americans.
Come on, Mormons! Learn how to argue properly! You’re embarrassing yourselves!
Right you are, Rebecca. I briefly watched the clip on the origins of the Native Americans. What I heard was that, many things were possible and that the BOM did not say things didn’t happen, so it allows that they might have(??) Since the BOM doesn’t prohibit the civilizations being beamed down from a mother ship, that is also possible.I agree they are attempting to defend their faith. They do a poor job of addressing their issues, but not really their fault, as what they have to defend is pure fiction. Which can only be defended by twisting logic and truth to an ever growing absurdity.
“We take it on faith” is a better defense than anything else they’ve got.
