My Theory , and it is a theory on Mormonism is as follow.
Mormonism is based out of Utah, now mining was a very important means of making a
living back in the 1800’s. Very important, and Mormons love to Mine they have the deepest
open pit Mine that I have ever seen in my life outside Salt Lake City, but…
It is my contention that a preacher who is mormon has the hardest time selling Jesus Christ in a Mining town to a Hardrock Miner in the 1800’s, with a whiskey in his hand and a Whore on his lap… I think that is where we run into many of Mormonisms curousities.
Well alot of this came west or the Carolines (Miners there also), Colorado, etc. Silver Mines, Coal Mines, etc. Those are hard people, so the preacher man had to get those persons to accept Jesus Christ, and he did so without them having to give up their Whore or Whiskey either one, trying to get a Miner to give up his whore and whiskey for Jesus Christ is not going to happen… So in Mormonism you do have, the Whiskey the Whore and Jesus Christ… And that is how that got there.
For instance you don’t go to hell for Adultery in Mormonism, whereas you do in. Because … All those Miners don’t like that either, no mormonism has been partially the result of , that is Jesus Christ with the hardest of the hard living back in those days.
It is so hard to go to hell in mormonism that you got to be really bad before a Mormon will tell you that you are going to hell.
No some preacher realized that trying to straighten out the people he was preaching to , just wasn’t going to happen, so Mormonism looses many of the tenants the other Christian Faiths still have. You are not going to get preachy with a hard rock miner in a saloon in 1880’s Colorado or Utah , because he will kill you… So Those Preachers did the best they could and the Mormonism we know is the result. Those are some rough men in those Saloons in 1800’s.
So Mormons have multiple wives, Adultery can only exist if you are only allowed one wife, Mormons multiple-wives and all kinds of other stuff.
So that is my theory on how Mormonism came to be like it is,
I mean started out different to begin with, but where it was being preached, that is how
you ended up with multiple wives etc…
