Mormons do not believe that Christ is one with the Father…
I wonder if people, like you, deliberately lie, just don’t care what they say (true or not) or are simply uniformed, and don’t care to become informed.

Which is it in your case?

“…And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.” (2 Nephi 31:21)

The mormons are a heretical sect that even Protestants don’t recognize as a legitimate Christian faith. When you consider that there are over 33,000 splintered Protestant faiths you quickly realize that there is no unity outside of the Catholic church. Moreover the mormon church as well as the various Protestant faiths can only trace their genesis to the 15th century.
If that is supposed you be funny, congrats - it was. Of course there is unity, maybe not much, but some, inside the Roman Catholic Church. It’s supposed to be unified. There is unity inside, for example, The Church of Jesus Christ" as there is inside most religions.

Moreover, think about how much the Catholic Church has schism’ed and fractured over the years? How many of those 30k+ faiths trace back ultimately to the Catholic Church?

Ah - calling the Church of Jesus Christ “bs” is your most persuasive argument to date. I’t will be hard to resist your evidentiary persuasiveness.
Let’s start with the Book of Abraham and go from there.

Let’s start with the Book of Abraham and go from there.
Actually, the Pearl of Great Price, which the Book of Abraham is apart, is quite a piece of writing. Certainly Joseph Smith could have not have written it since no one saw him engaged in such a piece of writing and I do believe that he was incapable of writing it. And so that leaves open the question: who wrote it? And that is the bedbug that causes many people to scratch. And it has not been proven to be false.

I’ve been a Catholic all my life and honestly I was pretty ignorant on what our church actually believes. So I studied and studied and then when I had what I thought was a pretty good understanding I sat down and read the Bible for my first time. When I started reading I was 110% sure this was the true church. When I was done with the old testament I was about 65% sure it was true. When I finished the New Testament I was 110% sure that the Catholic was not true and that its doctorine it teachings make no sense and is far from the truth!!! I have since then been looking for answers and I have made up my mind that if what the Mormons actually teach and preach is true then they really are the true church today.
I have heard this kind of story before. The LDS church does have much going for it. I have come to the conclusion that there can be only two choices when it comes to truth: either the catholic church or the lds church is the true church.

I have met many wonderful priests who are committed to the will of god and who attempt sainthood each day of their lives. Likewise for the sisters and nuns. I have seen them do great and marvelous things and give it all to Christ.

And in the lds faith, I have seen many great people. Fully committed to god and in keeping his commandments. I have known many wonderful mormons who give of their spirit on a daily basis. And who practice ‘holiness’ in their actions toward other human beings.

If more catholics and if more mormons would live their faith, this world would be a much better place to live. And if more people would become good lds or good catholics much beauty would grow in this world.

the book of mormon has been proven wrong by DNA evidence
cuz mormons say that there is middle eastern ancestors in the Americas but there is 99.4 percent that come from east asia decent
and .6 from european. disproving tha they came over on a ship from
the holy land.

Mormons do not honor Jesus as truely being God with a true sense of Trinitarian theology. Mormons believe that Jesus is the God of this earthly sphere. They believe you can become like God that mirrors what satan said to Adam and Eve in Genesis.

They often refer to John 10:34-36 to erroneously attempt to lend credence to their assumption that we can all become gods. Notice how lower case g is used for the word God? John is talking about descipleship to God (upper case “G” )

Thank God my wife left the mormons and is now studying in RCIA!

33,000 SPLINTERED PROTESTANTS , Mormonism isn’t even accepted as a valid religion by protestants or Catholics. Listen my wife was a mormon and I had to listen to all the missionaries. I know the mormon faith. They diminish Jesus. They believe He is God of planet earth. end of story. Your faith is a joke. there is no validity.
When mormons say you will be like God and have a world of your on in which you will have dominion you are no better than the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden, being seduced by satan. "Go ahead and eat of the fruit, you can be like God!

You are Peter and on this rock of faith I will build my church that is all you had to say.
No, I was asked how I can prove that Jesus and his Church are one. I said go and read saul. But here it is:
Not exact Scripture its acts:9 I am making it shorter, but please read it yourself but here it is:

Saul was breathing threats to slaughter the Lords disciples. he was travelling to Damascus and a light from heaven shone on him, he fell to the ground the voice said. Saul Saul why are you persecuting me. Who are you Lord he asked and the answer came I AM JESUS THE ONE YOU ARE PERSECUTING! That is how we know Jesus and his Church are one. Saul was not persecuting Jesus he was after the Church. But Jesus said why are you persecuting ME. That is proof you cannnot separate the two they are one. Those are Jesus’s exact works you are persecuting me. That is how Saul became one of the Most important leaders in history.

Jesus leaving the church to Peter has nothing to do with Saul persecuting the Church. Peter being the rock has nothing to do with Saul persecuting the Church.

Hi, Im interested in hearing your views on Homosexuality. I am a performer and I would like a deeper understanding on Catholic religious views. I am playing a character in a few months who is also gay. I would like to hear your views on Homosexuality. Please keep your comments intelligent and thought provoking.

Many thanks.

I’ve read the responses of alanjeddy and see nothing but ignorance. I probably should of told you I speak multiple languages and if you actually study the Bible in Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew you will clearly see that the belief that mormons have that they can become as God is plainly taught in the Bible. Jesus Christ himself talking to his apostles say’s, “You are Gods.” If God is all powerful then why not? Here’s a question for you alanjeddy. What is the literal meaning of Baptism in Greek? Once you figure that out and read over the baptism of Jesus, why did the Catholic church change how that ordinance is performed? 👍
I am not sure what you are saying. Please understand I am not being smart or sarcastic but when and how did the CC change Baptism. Also there is no where in the bible that say’s we can become gods. You are not understanding the bible. Because if you did that would make God breaking one the the most important commandments. And the RCC is built on the 10 commandments. starting with I AM THE LORD YOU GOD THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER gods BEFORE ME. How could any Church claim to be of God and turn around and break his commandments. THat is impossible!

the reason sprinkling became mainsteam was because
in the desert there was no water to fully baptism someone.
another case a whole city wanted to became christian but
there was little water, they were not going to deny baptism to these people cuz they wernt fully baptized

The Catholic Church teaches that it is a sin, But to hate the sin love the sinner. To pray for them that God can help them overcome this sin. While we do not deny that they have these feeling’s and it is a terrible cross to bare, That through the strength of Jesus Christ they can overcome this and turn back to the ways of the Church. THere are even group’s now in the Church to help people. While there may be no cure for this, ( the feeling you feel) the church believes with the Help of Christ you may not be able to control your feeling’s you can control your actions. The Church welcomes them, and is there to help them. And the Pope said that we must give them respect and pray for them. But the RCC will never condone a sin.

Joseph Smith wrote it, or at least he said he did. It has been proven to be false.
  • take a piece of papyrus, JS made up some malarkey over it
  • take the same piece of papyrus, actually translate it, not the same malarkey. Not even close.

I do not believe there is a LDS who believes Catholic’s are not Christian or that they are not devoted to their belief in God. The thing that seperates us is that we believe that the Catholic church does not have all the necessary saving ordinances in place, we therefore say bring what you have and we will add that which is missing.

Security in numbers?

Matt. 7: 14
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
