Mormons attacked in Arizona!

The problem of course was that they were asked if they were mormons and then they were beat on. And that makes all the difference.

Of course, Joseph Smith NEVER, NEVER, NEVER attacked Christians by saying that their professors and teachings were all corrupt, did he?

so perhaps if these people wouldn’t have been building up harems they wouldn’t have been locked up. Starve? you really need to read more Brigham Young. his teachings basically had the women producing in numerous ways while the men went on missions to bring back more women.
Here’s a relevant quote from LDS apostle Heber C. Kimball speaking to a group pf departing missionaries:
“Brethren, I want you to understand that it is not to be as it has been heretofore. The brother missionaries have been in the habit of picking out the prettiest women for themselves before they get here, and bringing on the ugly ones for us; hereafter you have to bring them all here before taking any of them, and let us all have a fair shake.” - Apostle Heber C. Kimball, The Lion of the Lord, New York, 1969, pp.129-30.
Ol’ Heber had 45 wives. The FLDS are just living the real Mormon gospel. That’s what has the LDS here so uncomfortable and why the LDS defend the child-raping FLDS. It’s way the LDS hope to live during the millennium.

Though you are using sarcasm, could you clarify what it is your trying to say here?
i’m suggesting possibility that the fight started over some issue other than what whyme insinuates. the kids are young. wehn I was a kid I got in fights all the time over all kinds of things usually of no significance whatever except that a fight was wanted.

now if this was a story about a adult mob with pitchforks and torches tar and feathering momrons in the middle of the night, well then, that would be something. But what we’ve got here is a story about some kids fighting. Doesn’t seem very important, except to whyme, who has his search engine overheating looking for such drivel.
Your right we don’t send our young missionaries to Saudi Arabia, it is against Saudi Law, Does the Catholic Church officially send missionaries to Saudi Arabia?
well Catholic missionaries are in general quite a lot different from momron missionaries, so apples and oranges, you know.

maybe this is unknowable, but does the Worlds Fastest Growing Religion not have some believers in Saudi Arabia? I assume that it does. if so then whyme might widen his search to include such places; then, finding instances of violence, help us to fully understand the height, depth and breadth of antimomron hatred and violence against his people.

or, is this just an arizonia thing? seems like his last two newsclipping have been events located in that state.

Does the catholic church claim that the protestant sects are false and incorrect or doe the catholic church claim that protestantism is true? I think that the catholic church would claim that the protestant sects are false.

He never used violence, either. Oh, wait … he did. 🤷

Perhaps the wrong story was linked. The initial link said it was unclear if the attack was because of religion or because the teens were just spoiling for a fight. Does the motivation for such violence matter that much?
The police report shows the victims were asked if they were Mormon before the attack, and they said “yes.” That’s when the teens in the truck shot at the victims with an Airsoft gun, which resulted in a fight.

The teens were asked if they were mormons and the thumping came because of the yes reply.

It is only because the LDS media in Salt Lake has an audience for such trivial “news” that it is even reported.

This is a case of high school teens who have carved swastikas on their arms, and are in a mind frame to choose someone to harass. It is obvious these kids know nothing of swastikas or Mormons and are ignorant criminal fools.

Let it go.
I don’t think that such news is trivial at all. Young mormons were attacked because they were mormons. There was no other reason for the attack. If two young catholic boys were attacked because they were catholic, would you consider it to be trivial? I don’t think so.

If it were reported, I doubt the religion of Catholic would even come up. This sort of thing is going on in schools across the country. Only in areas where there are a lot of Mormons do Mormons cry out this is happening because they are Mormon.

It is bullies, plain and simple, who choose anything to make a point of bullying. Eye glasses, height, size, religion. It is only Mormons who think every day bullying in a school is “persecution” of their religion.

Plus, the fact that these pellet guns are a problem in schools, period.

Just my opinion, but ever since the Jeffs thing, it seems like the Mormons have been complaining alot more about persecution. 🤷 Maybe its just been in the news more.

And why is it always bad news coming out of Arizona? The rest of the country must think we’re a bunch of heathens or something.

i’m pretty sure whyme’'s seach motor will eventually turn up a report of a 12 year old school bully hitting a momoron kid in the playground in oregon, so worry not,it is n’t just arizona.

probably the significantce of arizona is that there are a higher proportion of LDs in the population there than in most other states. Once you get out of the az-nm-ut-nv axis of evil, mormons are a virtual nonentity.

Yes, they have quite a significant population here, which leads me to believe…that more Mormon kids get picked on here just because theres more of them in general. 🤷 No where is perfect.

you can choose to ignore the facts all you want but if you study your churches history. you see a different version than what is presented in sunday school. you certainly have exaggerated the MO case (and conveniently ignored the rest of that story of how it got issued to begin with) when was polygamy legal? let’s also not forget that back then LDS scriptures called polygamy a crime and declared that the LDS didn’t practice it. that was in the D&C…canonized! so perhaps if these people wouldn’t have been building up harems they wouldn’t have been locked up. Starve? you really need to read more Brigham Young. his teachings basically had the women producing in numerous ways while the men went on missions to bring back more women. there is no pretending here. the tarring and feathering incident(and many others) that are taught as the result of JS testimony were mainly the result of people outraged at his propositioning their wives and daughters. (not to mention the shady financial dealings and secret combinations to get gain) go read william laws last interview, todd compton’'s book, michael quinn or any of the other BYU historians who had access to the facts and got run off for revealing them. the shalloe ignorant view here certainly isn’t mine.
Its so well informed to side with those who often misrepresent facts in an attempt to rob others of their good names.

Congrats your smart. All Mormons are bad nasty evil people who have never told the truth in their lives. No one has ever lied about them. Oh no everyone but them are Christians and they never ever lie. No incident has ever been blown out of proportion. Every one from the preachers who told Joesph that he was going to Hell down to the men who murdered him in cold blood where really nice folks who are just misunderstood. Never mind that Brigham Young was a good father to all his children he did not conform to a societal expiation and did what God commanded him to he must be a real bad guy. The local mobs and state governments never would rob people of their lands nor allow men to run about and rape women simply beacuse of their religion. There was no real reason to walk half way across the nation. Getting robbed shot rapped and beaten for your religion should have been apart of everyones right to be free.

Thank you so much for helping me to not be such a narrow minded ignorant jerk who knows nothing about history.

Just out of curiosity - how can one guy be a good father to 57 children? Especially when his time is taken up by being the dictator of a theocracy and dealing with 55 marriages and sundry divorces? One of his wives, Ann Eliza, wrote a very interesting book that didn’t exactly make ol’ Brigham seem like any kind of a saint, latter-day or otherwise.

I thought it was 62 kids. anyhow If I recall right he had one wife who disliked him but the others thought he was a wonderful husband and father.

Something like eight women divorced him (I guess because they each had a problem with him, but who knows), one of whom wrote a book. The one who wrote a book despised him and thought he was an evil man. She was desperately unhappy in the polygamy system all the way around. Her book is quite interesting.

then stop doing it!

never said that. i think most mormons are sincere folks who have been deceived. I think the founders were evil. i think the leaders are questionable.
No one has ever lied about them. Oh no everyone but them are Christians and they never ever lie. No incident has ever been blown out of proportion.
here we go with the drama queen act. there is no purpose to the extremity here. i can support all of my claims from LDS sources and you know it. i do not need “anti-mormon” materials nor do i need to exaggerate anything.
Every one from the preachers who told Joesph that he was going to Hell down to the men who murdered him in cold blood where really nice folks who are just misunderstood.
i never said that and I do not accept that JS was murdered in cold blood. I believe he reaped what he sowed and those whom he had wronged chose to commit the crime of retaliating with a lynching.
Never mind that Brigham Young was a good father to all his children he did not conform to a societal expiation and did what God commanded him to he must be a real bad guy.
what evidence do you present that BY was a good father? I believe he was an evil man who led many to destruction. he was a tyrant that broke the laws of both man and god.
The local mobs and state governments never would rob people of their lands nor allow men to run about and rape women simply beacuse of their religion.
you mean like danites or mountain meadows? are you even aware of what JS and his cronies were doing to provoke this? who were these “mobs?” many of them were disgruntled mormons who were angry that they had been duped, defrauded and were ow having their wives and daughters sought through sinister means for nefarious purposes.
There was no real reason to walk half way across the nation. Getting robbed shot rapped and beaten for your religion should have been apart of everyones right to be free.
the cynic in me wants to point out that America never had freedom of religion. the historian wishes to point out that not all of them walked and their purpose was so that BY could have his own empire where they would live outside the laws of the Us which they blatantly refused to obey. ironic that you are the one exaggerating the “persecutions” but then you only seem familiar with the faith promoting drivel out of the primary manuals. boyd k packer sure convinced you that much that is true isn’t very useful.
Thank you so much for helping me to not be such a narrow minded ignorant jerk who knows nothing about history.
you welcome but i bet you still haven’t looked at the salt lake papers interview with william law (JS former counselor in the first presidency) to see an objective view of what happened. (that can be verified by cross checking all claims wight LDS historical documents) but then you didn’t come here to learn, ask questions or discuss anything did you? you came shouting your unshakable testimony in JS to answer the questions of the poor ignorant catholics. in short you came to preach. I’ll tell you the same thing i tell your bicycling brethren: if you’re hungry come in and i’ll feed you, if your thirsty i’ll get you something to drink. if you are in need i’ll try and help but I have the true gospel and i don’t want to hear the heresies of your false prophet. god bless you.

VAST world if you would just open your eyes you could see it and it’s not mine, it’;s Gods and he invites you in.
God’s world is a very different place and thanks I’ve already accepted his invite.
