quite true.
I see where the mormon “prophet” passed to his reward the other day. I think that we all should offer rosaries for his soul and for his admission to purgatory. He and all pagan mormons will need all the help that they can get.

Where is our American Dante Alighieri when we need him most??

O tempores! O mores!

NPR this morning profiled Hinckley as “bringing his religion into mainstream Christianity.” :banghead:

I guess if you are agnostic or areligious to begin with, anything with ‘Jesus Christ’ in its name is a priori “Christian!”

Pray for the profit.

They do need help. If you would like you can help here.

I just resent the fact that the mormon church can do whatever they please after I have spend all of my adult life searching for ** The Truth ** and finally came home to** God’s Church**. The mormon church should ****RESPECT my wishes as well as others…:yup:

Yeah, they keep necro-dunking Jews who were murdered during WWII. “Rape of the soul” is how Jews describe what they feel about this practice, and they keep asking the mormons to stop already.

They have also “baptized” Hitler and his girlfriend Eva.
Do they actually do that with bodys(dunk dead bodys in water)?? or is a like a Prayer type baptism where the do it in a database?..

I actually read the book of Mormon around 5 months ago, and the “great and abominable church” is not the Catholic Church, but represents churches that are against the Mormons…

mormonism is definatly a neo-type gnosticism. And im sure all the early christians and ECF would have immediatly recognized them as heretics…

However I have trouble believeing in it. Because there is no ancestoral link to the Jews and the Native Americans…In fact I think the Mormons used that ideaology to get the Native Americans on their side during the Mormon War in an effort to conquer land…

I do believe the movie “September Dawn” is a bag slap in the face to Mormons and I didn’t like how it portrayed them…

Now if the Native Americans DID have Jewish blood in them…well then it would be a whole different story. And until they find acheological evidence, the book of Mormon still skeptical…

Kristine, believe me, I sympathize. But let me put this into perspective; Christ, Our Lord and Holy Savior spent his entire life on earth so that He could lead us home to eternal salvation. He suffered and died a most gruesome and shameful death and then rose from the dead to send down the Holy Spirit for us at Pentecost, thus founding the One True Church. 1800 odd years later, Mormons not only claim he founded THEIR church, but put words in His mouth, wrote detestable made up stories about him, and essentially seek to pervert and undo everything He did for us here on earth.

If you compare what Mormons are doing to Our Lord to a few meaningless words of mumbo-jumbo with our name inserted, it really puts this laughibly into perspective.

Kristine,
To paraphrase a previous poster, mormon"baptism" doesn’t mean a thing. They can get dipped, but all they get is WET. So, aside from being very tacky, it has absolutely no effect on the dead, as well as on the living. Zerinus, care to respond?

It’s a proxy “baptism” where one person can name multiple parties and be “baptised” on their behalf.

Congratulation on being able to stay awake. BOM is better than Valium as a sleep aid.

They conned the Indians into helping kill the emigrants at the Mountain Meadows massacre.

History and DNA evidence prove that the original inhabitants of the Americas originate in Asia. Jews in the New World are a fantasy invented by Joe Smith.

good explanation from Renton405, if the mormons don’t respect Jesus, why would they bother to respect anyone else? Jesus was mocked during his Passion and he is still being mocked, and so are his followers.

LOL! I LOVE that! And I also like “Malleus Haereticorum”. We should have a medal with that circular insignia written on it. The top could say “Malleus Haereticorum” and the bottom “et Infidelis”

The belief in itself by mormons is harmful, in that, it is a false teaching ascribed to revelations from God.
Hehe…

Oh I find it hilarious when Catholics call other people’s harmless teachings harmful.

Pot/kettle anyone?

“Baptising” dead people without their knowledge and consent (how can they possibly consent? They are DEAD!) is rude and offensive at best, useless and perhaps blasphemous at worst. Harmless? Promoting a false teaching and trying to make people believe that it has any effect is certainly harmful in that it prevents them from knowing the truth and acting upon it. Much of mormon teaching is harmful for this reason.

It is blasphemous. However I think that Mormons are one of the most blasphemous cults there is.

No, I agree with you both. It is utterly blasphemous. But as with all cults, I think the majority of the followers are simply along for the ride. I have heard Mormons say the most incredibly inane things (just look at their theology) with the most vacant expression. I think they literally need to turn their brain off to say some things with a straight face and prepare for the inevitable shrug when the counter-question comes from the opposing side.

My point is, as blasphemous as it is, I’m wondering how merciful God is to those who are willingly promulgating a corruption of His word. As for those who have willingly corrupted it, I have very little doubt in my mind.

Nor do I.

“If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!” (Galatians 1:9)

Don’t surprise yourself, exalt, it is evident that ‘Truth’ especially Christian Truth is a relative concept to you.

Hey ho go with the flow, may the force be with you, many paths to one destination, tolerate, tolerate, sis boom bah.
