That is according to the apostate Christendom’s interpretation. Mormons know from revelations we have received from the Lord that marriage survives physical death.
I see Zerinus is back… hope you got some rest, Z. You’ll need it!
Is it the “reveleations” and “modern scripture” upon which these teachings about marriage are based?
As you know, Christianity is apostate, and LDS Church is the only true Church on earth today. Therefore it comes as no surprise that their doctrines should at some points be significantly different from theirs.
I’m glad to see you have accepted that Mormonism is not part of Christianity. Some Mormons seem to think that it is. But, then, you’d have to be outside Christianity, wouldn’t you? Otherwise, you’d be “apostate” too. So, we agree that Mormonism is a cult that uses the name Jesus Christ in its brand, but doesn’t follow the teachings of Jesus. We can know this from many things, including the teaching of Jesus regarding marriage, which is specifically ignored by the Mormon cult.
Excuse me, you mean “apostate Christians . . .” Well, they don’t even have the words of Jesus in its perfection “as He meant them,” since following the apostasy much of it has been lost; therefore they are not in a position to be able to “accept them ether”.
The cult founder Joseph Smith would naturally have claimed an apostasy, and a corrupted Bible. This type of claim is typical of cults. The Jehovah’s Witnesses, your door-to-door competitors, claim the same type of thing, with different results. I suppose they have a different “holy” spirit witnessing to their bosoms than Mormons do. And then, there are many various Mormons, too, who do not agree with respect to many things, such as marriage rules, like polygamy, and the authority of the so-called Mormon prophet. No, it doesn’t surprise that Joseph Smith the science fiction writer needed a phony apostasy to support his claims of visions and burning bosoms. They were never taken seriously by Christians.
You mean the church that apostatized! Sorry, you are not in a position to “know what He meant” through the church that apostatized shortly after it was established.
Praise the Lord! I am not in the Mormon cult. I have been so gullible throughout most of my life, and have fallen for many scams. But, I never fell for the Mormon scam. Praise the Lord!
You mean apostate Christians! Sorry, what they believe or don’t believe is irelevant in the face of the Restoration of the gospel by Jesus Christ which has now taken place.
And yet, there are only a claimed 12 million or so of you after what? 177 years? And of those claimed 12 million, relatively few actually still go to Mormon church. I’ve been to Mormon church, Zerinus. Slim attendance. Geeeze. You’d think that, after 177 years, there’d be more Mormons.
