OK then, once again. If Adam and Eve had not sinned and remained in the Garden, in the presence of God, so too would their children. By their sin, all the children of our First Parents were cut off from the presence of God. In Bible terms, this is the loss of an inheritence, that was ours, but was lost by the actions of our parents.
If you don’t think that you are subject to this loss because of the sins of Adam and Eve, well then, tell me, are you walking and talking with God, in His immediate presence as Adam and Eve did? Being removed from the presence of God was not just an earthly effect, it had eternal consequences, as removed form His presence here, we were removed from His presence forever.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God, restored us to the Father. Made it possible for us to be heirs of the Kingdom of Heaven. This is made very clear in the NT, numerous times.
Baptism is required by believers to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, this is also taught in the NT. Parents baptize their children because as a family, they reflect the family of God, and as a family, the children are brought into God’s Family, the Kingdom of Heaven, through baptism. I still have no idea why anyone would have a problem with this. It is like saying you shouldn’t feed or clothe our children because they didn’t ask you to, and, that a child should not be part of a family who are joined to God. That we should leave them out. Why would anyone do this?
