You can call the parish office, now, and make an appointment to see a priest for confession as soon as possible.

Sr. Josefa Menendez (1890-1923) -Jesus’ Message to the World of His Mercy for All

“I would like these [those living with sin] to understand that it is not the fact of being in sin that ought to keep them from Me. They must never think that there is no remedy for them, nor that they have forfeited for ever the love that once was theirs… No, poor souls, the God who has shed all His Blood for you has no such feelings for you!”

“It is My intention also, to show souls that I never refuse grace, even to those who are guilty of grave sin; nor do I separate them from the good souls whom I love with predilection. I keep them all in My Heart, that all may receive the help needed for their state of soul.” -Jesus to Sr. Josefa Menendez

Prayer to the Shoulder Wound of Jesus

It is related in the annals of Clairvaux that St. Bernard asked Our Lord which was His greatest unrecorded suffering and Our Lord answered: “I had on My Shoulder, while I bore My Cross on the Way of Sorrows, a grievous Wound, which was more painful than the others and which is not recorded by men. Honor this Wound with thy devotion and I will grant thee whatsoever thou dost ask through Its virtue and merit. And in regard to all those who shall venerate this Wound, I will remit to them all their venial sins and will no longer remember their mortal sins.”

This revelation and promise of Our Dear Savior is another proof of His unlimited mercy. You are urged to say these prayers daily and to promulgate this prayer on a continuous basis, so that others may share in this blessing.

The Prayer

O Loving Jesus, meek Lamb of God, I a miserable sinner, salute and worship the most Sacred Wound of Thy Shoulder on which Thou didst bear Thy heavy Cross, which so tore Thy Flesh and laid bare Thy Bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater than any other Wound of Thy Most Blessed Body. I adore Thee, O Jesus most sorrowful; I praise and glorify Thee and give Thee thanks for this most sacred and painful Wound, beseeching Thee by that exceeding pain and by the crushing burden of Thy heavy Cross to be merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins, and to lead me on towards Heaven along the Way of Thy Cross. Amen.

Imprimatur: Thomas D. Beven, Bishop of Springfield, Ma.

Pope Eugenius III, at the earnest request of St. Bernard, has granted three thousand years Indulgence to all who with a contrite heart, recite the Lord’s Prayer and Hail Mary 3 times, in honor of the Wound on the Shoulder of Our Blessed Redeemer.

You should be seeking the advice of a priest and possibly a mental health professional if your struggles have reached such an obsessive level. Talking about them on an internet forum will only exacerbate your condition. You are in my prayers.

My thoughts exactly. It is when thoughts become intrusive or disruptive that professional guidance is prudent.

Yup. Please seek help, OP, both for your spiritual needs and for your mental health needs.

Look, if you are trying to do good you will be fine. God sees you are trying, sometimes God allows afflictions to continue to purify us and humble us to let us know we are weak. You say you are trying to do better, but HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT? HOW BAD ARE YOU TRYING.

Get up and start again. GO!

There is a prayer I heard on Catholic radio, and it was at the same time a reflection. I don’t know own the prayers name or remember it in detail but part of it went

“Lord, let others glorify you through theit good works and
their perseverance. Let me glorify your mercy.”

And also,

“We will not all be roses in heaven. Some of us will be far more lowly due to out sins and be in heaven as very small quiet daisies. But this just means Jesus will stoop even lower to meet us.”

If you are in an accident & will die without Confession…the Church says you can make an act of contrition and your sins will be forgiven.

This is only in case of death!

To the OP - firstly, make an Act of Contrition right now. Tell God, sincerely, that you are sorry for what you have done wrong because it has offended Him whom you love.

Secondly, resolve to go to confession when you are able.

God isn’t looking to strike you down at a vulnerable moment. If, after having expressed sincere contrition for your sins, you die before being able to get to confession, it will not be held against you.

Thirdly, seek help. Fear of leaving your house - for any reason - is far from healthy, and the posters here are not expert counsellors in such matters.

This is the wrong thing to say to someone struggling with these kinds of issues. Reported.

I strongly believe CAF requires strong ruling and leadership on posts by those with Scruples. Any (name removed by moderator)ut by laity can be so damaging.

Do you believe that edward_george is the government? Because the 1st Amendment only restrains the government, not private individuals.

I reported you to the forum moderators. Do you think that function would be available if it were illegal? Do you seriously not understand this, or are you just trying to push buttons?

Do you not understand freedom of speech? It’s illegal for the moderators to take my free speech down. That’s why it’s still up even though you reported it
