I have to comment on this bit of news from above web page.
Archbishop Paolo Pezzi of the Archdiocese of the Mother of God in Moscow:
I think he is stating that repair can happen, but is showing great doubt because of the simple fact that there will ALWAYS be division and sin. Should we even bother, then, to try at all to fix the past?
It never hurts to at least try, in ANYTHING that we do here on earth. Are we going to fail? Sure, plenty. But we should get up and try again and again and again. That is HOPE. And when people are down and out, trying is the BEST medicine to regain health again.

Archbishop Paolo Pezzi of the Archdiocese of the Mother of God in Moscow:
He “noted the suffering the nation has endured over the course of history. This suffering, he said, notably influences the mentality and the behavior of the Russian people, both collectively and individually.”
“…with good will, irreparable problems between brothers (catholic AND Orthodox Churches) do not exist.”
The word ‘always’ disturbs me greatly. How depressing a thought! He “emphasized that every experience and charism in the Church can enrich it (the Church), making it (the Church) shine as the true Mystical Body, even if there will always be “division and sin” within it.”
