You are saying that

Father = God
Son = God
Holy Spirit = God

and they are not three Gods but One God. This is what you mean

e.g, Water has three form. Gas, Liquid and Ice.

or they are three persons in One Body i.e, Jesus than what about Father is he same you called Jesus. So seems like you mean there is two Gods. Father/God and Jesus/Half God. or Father come in jesus body and concieved Father in Mary womb. Please Explain it is kind of simple or tricky.

The following link is my simplest explanation of the Trinity. It works for me;

tomshaikh ,

Our wonderful God is not bound by ordinary explanations.

For our Human mind, He presents Himself to Christians as 3 Divine Persons in one God-not personalities, but complete and equal to each other and united perfectly to each other.
Father, Son, Holy Spirit.-all are Spirit.
Where one is, they all are.
In addition, Jesus took on an additional form as He was begotten by the Holy Spirit into the virgin Mary and was born to her as Man/God. (this is called the hypostatic union in Jesus of His human and divine natures)This helps to explain why Jesus’ Human body died, but the Trinity did not.
Jesus had to be both Human and Divine-otherwise His death would have been impossible. He had to be God to raise Himself up from the dead.
Is it any wonder why so many people reject these ideas?
Ah, but you see our God is all knowing- He knew this would happen- so he watches other religions flourishing as we all struggle to find Him.

He sees billions of people, millions of ideas, thousands of religions-but only one God, Himself. And he loves each and every one of us. We are made in His image so that we may have the capacity to become united with Him and someday, as He promised, to give us glorified bodies for a new, eternal life at the end of time.

This is my best explanation for now.

May Allah always be good to you and your family

We Muslims know Jesus only as a man of God and a son of woman. Not as a god or son of God but son of a woman. We believe same about Moses and Muhammad. We believe same about Abraham and Ishmael and Issac and jacob. No difference.

The only difference is that Jesus was a prophet of God under the command of his superior leader (prophet) Moses. Jesus was bound under the law of Moses and he had come to strengthem that law of Moses. So both are honorable. Only one is senior and the other is Junior.**

Thank you for helping us to learn more about your muslim faith.

Jesus is inferior to no one. The law came by Moses, but grace and truth by Jesus Christ. Moses is and was a great, great man, full of the Holy Spirit.

John 6:32-33 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

Hebrews 3:3 For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house

Just a couple of passages that explain the difference.

Your interpretation of Jesus is newer and without merit, brought to you by someone I have no respect for.

Well if mono theistic is one god poly theistic is more hten one duhhh 2nd to that its hard to believe but jesus moses and elijah are the main prophets in the bible we jsut have to see the comparisons and see how much more god blesssed jesus with…

Yes, it’s a puzzle to us Catholics, too. One God, but 3 distinct persons. God the Father, His Word who became a man, and their mutual Love is the Holy Spirit… But then, can one fully understand God and His ways? He told us His mysterious name:
EHIE ASHER EHIE (“I am who I am” - or “will be”)
known among the Jews as the “unpronunceable Name”…
God is a mystery no one can fully grasp except for what He lets out to mankind, at least to those whom He chose to tell…
Awesome mystery indeed!😊 :hmmm: :banghead: :gopray2: :crossrc: :harp: 🙂 😉

Tomchaikh,

do you believe God’s word is eternal and uncreated?

Well did you mean by God Jesus or different God. I am asking from christian point of view. I know who’s Moses God.
from a Christian point of view, God’s Moses is the Father, His Word and His Holy Spirit.

I hope you see my other thread which is on “99 names of Allah/God”. You will find your answer there.
i did read your thread previously and am afraid you did not adress my question. Do you believe God’s word is eternal and uncreated?

God’s?Plural

I believe on One God not God’s. And i believe that what ever he promise he never changed from his word. Uncreated is not from his nature. He is the perfect one.

from a Christian point of view, God’s Moses is the Father, His Word and His Holy Spirit.

Why you are using God’s in plural form. Is it because of His Word and His Holy Spirit. More clearly Son and Holy Spirit. Please explain in brief who is Holy Spirit. Answer my whole question not one part. Thanks

tomshaikh,

Gods is plural.

God’s is not plural. The apostrophe (the ’ ) is a connection between God and something or someone, like when we say God’s love, which means the love of God.

It is a way in the English language to make a connection. This does not just refer to God, it refers to others also, like when we say Tom’s car, which means the car of Tom.

God bless,

tomshaikh,

The Holy Trinity is one God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).

The Father is fully God.
The Son (also called Word) is fully God.
The Holy Spirit is fully God.

But we do not have three Gods, but one God.

I will use this analogy, and maybe you can understand like this:

It is not 1God + 1God + 1God = 3Gods. This does not explain the Mystery of the Holy Trinity.

It is 1God x 1God x 1God = 1God. This is a better explanation of the Mystery of the Holy Trinity, but I want you to understand that no human words can ever fully explain the Mystery of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Trinity has been revealed to us, and we believe as a matter of Faith, first and foremost, but only God understands His own Mystery fully and completely.

Here is some more explanation that can help:

The Father is not the Son.
The Father is not the Holy Spirit.

The Son is not the Father.
The Son is not the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is not the Father.
The Holy Spirit is not the Son.

This means that there is a distinction of Trinity in the one God, but the distinction does not make three Gods. The Arabic word used to describe the distinction of Trinity in the the one God is called “Aqaneem” which comes from the Aramaic word “qnome”.

The Father is one “qnoma”.
The Son is one “qnoma”.
The Holy Spirit is one “qnoma”
The three “aqnaeem” or “qnome” are one Allah (in Arabic), or one Alaha (in Aramaic).

So, there are not three Alahe. There is one Alaha, with three qnome.

Is this helpful a little bit to understand how Christians believe about God?

God bless,

Thank you very much. Make help alot so we muslims and christians believes in ONE GOD:). So i guess problem between us is that you make partner in Allah/God. That what we have conflict between Christians and Muslims. And we muslims believe that it is a Shirk i.e, Jesus is the Son Of God.

So i guess problem between us is that you make partner in Allah/God.
tomshaikh,

Not like two human partners. For example, if I make partnership with someone named John in a restaurant, that means that there are now two humans in the partnership. If I invite someone named Bob in the partnership, now we have 3 humans in the partnership.

It is not like that with God. There are not three Gods in partnership. There is only one God. In this one God, there is a distinction between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, but there is no separation. The Father is not separated from the Son, and the Son is not separated from the Holy Spirit. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one God, eternally Trinity in Unity.
And we muslims believe that it is a Shirk i.e, Jesus is the Son Of God.
What do you mean by Shirk? Do you mean Shareek? Shareek is the Arabic word for partner. Jesus is the Incarnate Son of the Father, which is what Christians mean when we say Son of God. Jesus is not a partner with the Father like two human partners as I mentioned above. He is one with the Father and one with the Holy Spirit, three “aqaneem” in one God, one God in three “aqaneem”.

God bless,

Rony
