Not all Catholics are devout, that is true, but they certainly are not devoted to Allah either. The difficulty with the continuance of allowing muslim arabs to keep flowing into this country, is you have no way of knowing that some of them will be the ones that blow up the very city you reside in, killing THOUSANDS. The only way to prevent this is to close the doors of immigration to all incoming arabs period. I know this sounds harsh, but we are living in very explosive time and our enemy could very well be living right in our own neighborhood.

Not all Arabs are Moslem. My son-in-law is Lebanise and a Maronite Christian, in case you didn’t know the Maronites as well as all other Eastern Catholic Rites (about 20 I think) are in full communion with the Pope. Many of these people have and are continuing to suffer greatly for Christianity. There are millions of Moslems who are not Arabic, i.e. Pakastan, Indonesia and African countries

Using your logic, all Catholics and Pro-Choice Democrates. I lived in Aferica amongst the Muslims. They are just trying to survive. Yes they pary 5 times a day, do we??? Heck no. Yes the Catholics have the Holy Hours…but how many actually observe them daily? Muslems are more dedicated to their faith than most Christians. How many of us would be a suscide bomer in the name of Jesus?
 
dh, that is sort of my point. You don’t see nuns as suicide bombers. Islam made Cat Stevens say that Salman Rushidie should be executed. Can you imagine him saying that BEFORE he became a Muslim? Christians in Islamic lands are slain, tortured, enslaved, and forced to convert to Islam. They have no real religious freedom and if they convert to Catholicism they can be killed. If we treated them here the way they treat Christians then you would have a fit. When I can say Mass publically in Saudi Arabia without fear for my life then come talk to me about how nice Islam is.

Here is two misconceptions.

One, that muslims are more dedicated to their faith. I know many muslims, both men and women, who do not pray 5 times a day. I also know many Catholics who pray Morning, Evening, Night, and the Office of Readings from the Liturgy of the Hours, some even add one or more of the daytime offices.

Two, that being a suicide bomber is some how good.

How is killing in God’s name “dedication” or “faith”? What that is, is absolute foolishness and it’s been going on since the beginning. How about acts of CHARITY in Jesus’s name? Not killing someone in Jesus’s name THAT takes more faith.

I would note that there are Arabs in Africa.

Meggie posted that she had a nice experience at a camp with a Muslim Girl and she wanted to share the experience with her friend here on the forum. There were some nice postings. But because of some bigoted-hate-filled comments many have for Islam her story is now tainted. Thank you to those who posted positively…your Christianity is showing through.

I could be mistaken, this is certainly a possiblity where I am not a scholar on Islam. However, it is my understanding that, within the Islam faith, the greater the level of Orthodoxy, the greater the sympathy to the terrorist’s cause. Again I emphasize, from my understanding, Islam calls for the execution of Infidels, or those who do not follow Allah.

This leads me to believe that so called “good” Muslims (web definition: literally, “one who has surrended;” a follower of Islam) are simply Muslims who fall short of the true teaching of Islam. Probably because they cannot reconcile themselves to the apparent evil associated with it. Which would further conclude that unfortunatley, this Muslim girl, is misguided in her own faith.

I hope this don’t open up a can of worms. If I am mistaken, please enlighten me. Does the orthodox Muslim believe those who do not follow thier Allah, should be terminated, or is this not so? If so, the war against terrorism is very unlikely to be won. Wouldn’t this make a “good” Muslim a “cafeteria” Muslim?

This is totally reversed. If (big if), what I said is correct in my post, then your statement should have said:

By ignoring the obvious misdeeds of Islam is being UNchristian. How is it bigoted to point out Muslims believe women should be covered, because allegedly a Muslim man can’t control himself? How is it bigoted to point out Shari is a tyrant’s law and gives a man licesne to beat his wife?
How is bigoted to point out Muslim cultures remove a little girl’s clitoris?
These FACTS should be KNOWN. When something, such as Islam, appears innocuous people should KNOW what they are dealing with.
Call me crazy but WOMEN particulary should know what Islam is about. Especially when someone tries to convert them! Sorry, DHgray I am not politically correct. I refuse to be, if that makes me a bigot, too bad.

So if you can say muslims are more dedicated to their faith than Christians then I think what Mijoy2 has expressed is just as valid.

And then to add as you do that somehow killing innocent people is being dedicated to their faith also shows that Mijoy seems to be on the right track here.
