Well seeing that the majority of new conservative priests are coming from third world countries you should be able to figure it out.

To answer you . It depends on the Mosque management . If it is a good management , it should clean the carpets regularly. If it is a bad management it will clean them less often. In the Mosques that i have been to i think i found 10% to have some problems of not cleaning the carpet regularly. This is just a rough observation ofcourse.

It is a valid question . and we as muslims should learn from it and not get on the defensive. I also advise you to report the issue to the management f you ever get in such situation .
