A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters favor a temporary ban on refugees from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen until the federal government approves its ability to screen out potential terrorists form coming here. Thirty-three percent (33%) are opposed, while 10% are undecided.

How dare citizens be concerned about their own safety and inconvenience visitors with extra measures for ensuring security?
 
What our President is doing is a practical and necessary measure.It should have been enforced a long time ago.All the hysterics being propagated by the Politically Correct left and complicit media are just true to form .
 
Just because most people support something doesn’t mean it’s right. The vast majority of people support the use of contraceptives. Are they right?

We are a Soverign Nation.A a nation of laws.Why is it so un acceptable to expect that anyone coming into our country,be vetted to be sure they have the best of intentions in dong so?
This isn’t just some arbitrary act,done on the fly.We have experienced real acts of terror n this country both on a large and small scale.The gov’ts first and highest priority is to protect it’s citizens.
President Trump has stated this is a temporary ban until and which time we can be certain these individuals are cleared.It has been proven that along with refugees have been a number of people sneaking through that are not well intentioned.
My husband is a first generation immigrant from Germany,Both he and his parents were vetted,had to have a sponsor and proof of a skill that would provide employment for them once here.This is how it should be.

We already do that. The people who were stopped at the airport had gone through that process.

The US should NOT have open borders no matter how much the globalists want it and we have a right to vet anyone who wants to come in. This was a good move, even though it did inconvenience a small minority of people traveling when it was signed and implemented. As those responsible for enforcement become more familiar with what’s expected things will run smoother.

Does it mean the borders are closed for good for people from those countries, of course not. It is temporary. Did the protests spontaneously spring up… no they didn’t. Just ask George Soros who is helping to fund the organizations involved including funds for the organizations who are suing. Oh and check the website where people who want to protest can find the next upcoming protests to attend.

Most of the people in this country want immigrants who want to actually be a part of this great nation to keep right on coming… legally.

I listened to an interview where the reporter was actually asking why they couldn’t have given people a 72 hours heads up. Seriously? How fast can someone change their tickets to a different day, one within the 72 hour window? Someone even questioned why it wasn’t longer than that. Just wow !

Phony argument. No one is suggesting that we should not be vetting. We have been vetting and it has been extensive and successful.
As to a national of laws - tell that to CBP who flauted court orders to allow US residents access to legal counsel.

“Open borders”, like “world peace”, is an aspirational goal.
It was NOT a policy of any administration or candidate. It was and is NOT a proposed policy of anyone. It is recognized as a distant goal that is contingent on a world in which there are no strong pressures that induce mass migration.

The people of Central America would like to know all of their thoughts on Mexico’s immigration policy, which is far less generous than America’s.

As far as the travel restrictions go, almost all of those began to be put in place in March of 2011, during Barack Obama’s first term.

And the reason why bishops, leaders and the general left-wing public are upset over it is because 1) Barack Obama generally gets a free pass from them and 2) they weren’t doing their homework and frankly their jobs when Barack Obama was president.
