Mother Of Man Arrested In (Catholic) Church Beating Also Arrested

Omaha Police have arrested one of the two suspects accused of robbing and beating a 76-year-old woman inside St. Cecilia’s Cathedral last Sunday.

22-year-old Wayman Clark has been arrested for felony robbery. Police have also arrested Clark’s mother for harboring a fugitive . . .

Investigators are still attempting to identify the second suspect. Surveillance video shows one man stealing the woman’s purse and the other punching her in the side of the head, knocking her to the ground.

Punching an innocent elderly woman in the face is an act of barbarity; but I doubt this crime will get much replay or discussion on the Cable or TV Networks.

Well, the video of the incident is on NBC’s website. Something happened in our own cathedral several years ago where a man who had given money to a homeless person daily ended up being assaulted by the receiver of the money for having “not given enough” one day. I heard about it on the news.

Thanks for posting this link. Unbelievable! I pray the elderly woman will be ok. I would like to see the video. Hope they find the second suspect. This will be underplayed by the major media as it goes against Black Lives Matter agenda. Glad the mother was arrested too if she was helping her son evade the police.

I think the newsmedia is often very selective in how it reports stories of
racial attacks. One’s where a black person is the victim often receive more
attention. Last month in Chicago, NBC actually featured as there top story
on the 10 O’clock news, an incident at Oak St beach, where a white woman claimed she was splashed by a black woman’s kids, and resorted to calling her the N word. In a city the size of Chicago that was actually the top story !

I believe it is true that the media manipulates the news by selecting what stories get the most play. Reverse the races here and they’ll have a big dramatic story theme when representing it on the news. Lot’s of head shaking by the anchors and the whole follow up bit about racism in America.
