I live in India, I cannot comment on the donations she received or what their disposal was, this though i can say . Destitute’s cannot depend on the government health system which is creaky corrupt and inept. In this country they are ignored and forgotten. Mother Teresa took in those who were homeless, who lay dying on pavements, she gave them a home, a bed, and shelter, which no one else was willing to do. I have stayed with her sisters and know them very well, they live as poorly as the people they care for, they eat the most awful food, in the sweltering heat they sleep six to a room with no fans. India is a country with a huge mass of homeless uncared for population, she catered to them, and if some felt that she was not doing enough, believe me at least she was at least doing something. I have no patience for those who criticise her, are they willing to look after a filthy stinking sick old man, clean him up, bathe him, feed him? her nuns do this everyday, the men and women urinate and **** wherever they please, and they clean them up, I have never seen them get rough with them, not once.they may look a little unhappy sometimes when some of the persons get unruly, but believe me, they are doing God’s work, of a kind you and I can never do.At least I can’t.
