I’ve always wondered: do the actions of groups like Satanic Temple win converts or do they just preach to the choir? I know there is no shortage of groups who would like to stick it to organized religion, but would someone on the fence be motivated something like this? To me, they just seem mean spirited and petty. No one I would want to associate with.

There have been a few stories in the local press. Originally, a statue of Baphomet was to be erected in front of a certain building. The building owner, upon hearing about this, denied them permission. A group of local non-Catholic Christian ministers were planning a protest. Now that a new, undisclosed location has been picked, I’m sure the statue will not be hard to miss. In the original unveiling, a party was to be held afterward. It seems likely that this will be the case on the date mentioned in the article. I’m certain that if word gets out before the new unveiling date that the location will be mentioned. Once that happens, Christians from different Churches will protest.

Make no mistake, this is a call to action, not just putting up a statue somewhere for art’s sake. Satan is real and this is the wake-up call for all of us.

The funny thing is it’s not even a statue of Satan. It’s Baphomet and unlike Satan he is a man-made mythical creature.
Baphomet (/ˈbæfɵmɛt/; from Medieval Latin Baphometh, Baffometi, Occitan Bafometz) is a term originally used to describe an idol or other deity that the Knights Templar were accused of worshiping, and that subsequently was incorporated into disparate occult and mystical traditions. It appeared as a term for a pagan idol in trial transcripts of the Inquisition of the Knights Templar in the early 14th century.[1] The name first came into popular English usage in the 19th century, with debate and speculation on the reasons for the suppression of the Templars.[2]
Since 1856, the name Baphomet has been associated with a “Sabbatic Goat” image drawn by Eliphas Levi[3] which contains binary elements representing the “sum total of the universe” (e.g. male and female, good and evil, etc.).[4]

Well, if Satan is your role model…

I hope he doesn’t disappoint them… Oh wait!

We should actually be praying for their deliverance. We have no idea what agony, or what bondage their souls are in.

That is ridiculous, I cant believe any city would allow such a thing to be put up, it may not be satan, but many people will likely think it is, given the goats head, pentagram, etc.!

Good suggestion.

I recall the Fatima prayer in the rosary, asking Jesus to lead all souls into heaven, especially those in most need of His mercy.

I’ve looked at the statements they’ve posted. They want to be/are free thinkers and are for certain rights. Then why the Satanic Temple label? From their site:

“The Satanic Temple is a non-theistic religious organization dedicated to Satanic practice and the promotion of Satanic rights.”

This is the Antichrist at work.

Maybe that is how they depict Satan. If you know more about the in’s and out’s of this please inform as I find it interesting.

But regarding these folks. I say just ignore them and they will go away.

I do feel bad for them though as they are caught up in something that they don’t understand.

Seriously, they make tools that can cut through metal. Know where we can find some?

Occult symbols and Satanic iconography is a pretty long list. The pentagram on the statue’s head is a bad thing. There are offshoot Satanist groups. This one follows atheistic Satanism but still promotes Satanic Practices. The children next to the statue are new. The boy is black, the girl is white. I think they understand on an intellectual level, exactly what they’re doing. On a spiritual level, they need our prayers.

Satanism will not just go away. Satan and his works are mentioned in the Bible.

It’s intensely telliing and interesting that these bufoons/performance artists would choose Baphomet as their deity. I refer everyone to Eliphas Levi’s The History of Magic if they want to learn about it. It’s a Freemasonic/anti-Catholic book, but the pompous and grandiose style of writing is amusing, and the mood and atmosphere permeating the book is powerful.

And, of course, this only applies to people who are thoroughly immune to this sort of thing.🤷 Everyone else should steer clear of it.

If anybody needs prayers, it is people who do not know what they do.
I don’t know about that. People do not create a Satanic Temple on a whim, they do not organize, they do not, as this groups plans, take action! They know. What they think is being indirectly supported by a society that supports some of the things they support.

No one is beyond God’s mercy but this is real, folks, There will be an unveiling. There will be a reaction and more statements from this group.

God have mercy,
Ed

Personally, if you ignore them they go away.

Satanists take the absolute worst traits of occultists, militant atheists, and Objectivists and make one big smorgasbord of wrong.

Oh Yes, Ive said it before, there is a HUGE difference between what most people would consider a normal satan worshiper and the people/groups that REALLY worship him. When many people hear the term satan worshiper, they think about teenage boys who like heavy metal music, wearing anarchy shirts, saying and doing rebellious things, they say they are worshiping satan, but more often that not, they are just saying that to shock others.

On the other hand, there are some fairly large groups of mostly adults, some holding very high level positions of power in the world, who take satan worship every seriously, these are the true followers of satan, they are the ones making moves to cause things to happen in the world, catering to satan/ demons, in a real pursuit of a world where satan rules, high level politicians, people in the entertainment industry, some of these people are members of groups that truly do worship the devil.

Awhile back I read some things about a certain group like this, they were detailing how they frequently summoned demons, even claimed they summoned satan himself a time or two, they had very detailed accounts of what took place, the demons names, ranks, how they appeared, their features, what was said, etc. it was quite revealing and scary to think ANYONE would be that trusting of demons, surely they know the demons could care less about them…right?

These are the people that will be helping and paving the way for the antichrist when he shows up, these are the people to really be scared of.
