Move to have Scottish cardinal leave UK for the 'good of the Church'

I would object to a problem in one country being sent to another country. The world has moved beyond the mentality of penal colonies in other countries - so why deport your problems, to inflict them elsewhere. The UK should deal with this at home.

I think its probably because he has a constitutional disposition for being in front of a microphone, and giving his opinion on things, and his remaining in the country is bound to facilitate this. Leaving, ideally to a monastery as penance to pray for himself and the church in scotland, would be no bad thing.
