Actually we believe the same thing. We believe it is the other religions that that were originally Islamic in nature, but then went away from it’s original teachings. I have a question for you, how were people Christians before Christ?

Thanks in advance!

🙂
There was God. His chosen people were the Jews through whom His Son was born of a woman and made man. Jesus, Son of God, died for us so that we would be saved. Jesus also being God, part of the Holy Trinity always was. As God has no connectionto time, we were Christians before the world was created.

So you believe that the people who lived before the “death” of Christ will also be saved?

Yes. Many were brought into Heaven after Jesus rose. Some may still be in purgatory. Some may be in Hell forever.

As one saint puts it; “Man by his very nature is Christian.” I forgot who said this.

When Jesus descended into the abode of the dead, He also preached the Gospel there. So that everyone who heared the voice of the Son of God were saved. Satan held those souls captive until Jesus lead those captives free. It is also believed, though not doctrinally, that Jesus looked first for Adam in those regions to bring the Good News so that He who was first held captive will be set free first, and then the rest of his offspring.
