All you need is 100 people to bring it to your area. Get together a parish or diocesan group of people and bring it there!
So how do you go about doing that? I looked through the website and it had “adopt a theater” for $3,000 but it looked like you had to adopt one that already had it playing. I emailed them about it but did not get a response (really busy I suppose). We’re in a remote area; the closest location tonight is a 5 hour drive and the closest the 9th is a 3 hour drive. I bet a lot of people in our area would see it if it came here.

Another interesting piece of info - you all may have seen it – there is a list of must see movies on msn and The Golden Compass is recommended, and they suggest reading the third book, but no Bella. I know Bella is not mainstream but interest is definitely growing!

It does not have to be a theater already showing it. You can bring it to a college campus, convention center, church, or rent out a theater at a local movie place. It only has to be a place with appropriate facilities.

I haven’t ever had a response from their site contact, even when things weren’t so busy. I know someone who belongs to a group that brought it to their area, so I’ll ask him to ask them how they did it and get back with you.

I kept checking Fandango’s website for times. They have a section for movies being released this week. Bella wasn’t listed there. They have Bella listed with the correct release date, but you have to type it in and already know about it to find it. 😦

I went to see Bella Friday night and I went with no expectations and just hoped that it would be a movie promoting Catholic pro-life viewpoints. I went and was disappointed that it was not. I probably will be the only one with a negative opinion of Bella so I apologize if anyone gets offended but I have to be honest with myself.

I still feel that all Catholic’s should see this movie because of the bigger picture. I understand that this is Metanoia Films first film and being a young production company with young producer’s and director they are still in a growing learning stage. So even though I did not like Bella I do encourage that we support the 3 amigos at Metanoia Films by watching Bella so that they will then be able to produce films in the future with solid writing and editing all supporting a strong Catholic viewpoint.

I wrote a review (SPOILER ALERT) of the film that is pretty long and doesn’t hold back punches. Anyone that is interested in reading it can go read it at this link.

I think the movie was done to reach the average person, and not
just to promote catholic pro-life values with a hit-them-over-the-head venue. It’s not preachy so I think that will touch more people
and not just pro-lifers who are the “choir”. That is why I have
invited people who are not quite pro-choice but not really pro-life
either. It has already saved several babies so it’s a sucess as is.
So each showing should produce similar results. YES!
I also enjoyed some of the technical aspects, the "not your typical
New York City views, etc., etc. Glad I’m not a critic, though.

I saw the movie today and loved it. I almost didn’t go because rottentomatoes.com only gave it a 32% fresh rating. But then I remembered how the NY Times movie reviewers gave rave reviews to a movie about women going to Haiti for sex tourism, and rightly concluded that their opinions are worthless. 🤷 Bella rocks.

What a wonderful and beautifully shot movie. I was very impressed with it overall, and look forward to seeing it again so I can really enjoy without haveing to really pay so much attention. 🙂 I would LOVE to have the sound track - I loved the music!!!

Yep - this is one I will buy, and I hardly buy any movies.

I’m thinking I will give this for Christmas this year too.

My husband and I saw Bella tonight and we both thought it was
a great film. I hope to see it again with our daughter and hopefully some others. We need to stand behind this film. How wonderful
would it be if more films like this were made? Here is a movie
without the typical foul language and content, that in itself
made me happy and then you have a beautiful story on top of it.

Go and see this movie, and please go as soon as possible! 👍

My wife and I saw this movie yesterday and we both loved it. We loved it besides being a movie with a prolife message. It’s a good quality movie period, that engages you with some clever layers of meaning. As an Hispanic and a Catholic it had a double appeal, so I could relate to it on both levels. I think this was a clever way for metanoia films to start and I pray that my family and I can enjoy other such fine productions in the future from them. If only as many “Christians” that saw the “DaVinci Code” would give this film the same chance they gave Dan Brown’s products.

God Bless,

It was the second highest grossing film of the weekend so far. 🙂
The Devil Made Me Do It was first. 😦

I started a thread to discuss the movie itself here. That way this one can stay on the publicity of it and not have spoilers while the other one can discuss the movie itself, including spoilers.

It is second in sales for the weekend so far!!!
Please those in cities where it is showing: go see it, or go see it
again, or call friends to go see it if it’s showing in a city where they
live. I’m literally telling everyone I know and come in contact with,
so far at church, when they came to install a ceiling fan, put up
the blinds, or clean the ducts and at the grocery store and
restaurant where I had breakfast. There have been some spots
on Fox Cable and radio and maybe other places, but not enough
for most of the general public to hear about it.
Thanks Woodstock for the info.

We saw the movie Bella today and it was SO GREAT!!!
We got to see Eduardo Verastegui speak and he was really nice and humble. The movie is beautifully made and acted. And I hope it doesn’t leave theatres. They asked that that all of us recommend it and buy tickets. PLEASE SEE IT!

Saw it today and the producer was there and the actor Eduardo. The movie is AWESOME. Beautiful and not over the top or preachy. it is a great movie that happens to have a great message. it isn’t fluffy–it is painful and doesn’t hold back. The actor is beautiful in person too! seemed really humble and nice. Took questions and was great. I loved this movie and hope it gets more time in theaters. Mel Gibson should back it.

I went to see this movie this past Friday night. Was excellent, had many messages…well done. I would definitely recommend it and go out and support it again. 👍

I have read your review…honestly, I think you completely overanalyzed the movie and missed the points made entirely.

It appears to me that your concentration on the filming/editting/acting caused you to completely overlook the very simple and basic messages contained within the movie.

I suggest you go see it again and this time try just watching the story unfold, instead of analyzing the acting, the scenes, etc.

There were a couple of moments that I didn’t “agree”…but overall, I felt the movie and the messages shared was exceptional.

I saw the movie opening night & was very impressed. Good movie with a good message. My only criticism is that it makes a couple of jumps that are unexplained & take a little to catch up with. But overall a really good movie I think everyone should go see.

Laura Ingraham has either Eduardo or Alejandro on her show today. It will be in the 2nd hour. In the MT zone that is 9-10 am,
ET 11-12. If you don’t get to hear it be sure to look on the Bella
website and listen to the Interview of the director, etc. Just in
case you need a little more motivation to go see the film.
