MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough called for unity and bipartisanship, and in the same conversation, stated that he believes the Trump-era Republican Party doesn’t “deserve to survive.”

“I want the party to die,” Scarborough told hosts Saagar Enjeti and Marshall Kosloff on the Realignment podcast.

No, but the party does need to come back out of hiding. Conservatives need to put their collective foot down and take the Republican Party back from the Trumpists.

We had more than enough of Trumpistan and the Trumpublicans. The Grand Old Party is gone… let’s hope that they will be like the Phoenix, immolate themselves and get reborn from the ashes Trumpism.
 
I wouldn’t go so far as that but I do think after the profoundly un democratic stuff they have enabled since the election they deserve a long ‘time out’ out of power to think about what they’ve done, and what they’ve become.

The Breitbart, OANN, Redstate flavor of the rightists is concerning.

For the time being I see the Conservatives moving further right- into the alt-right territory. Conspiracies- flirting with racism- nationalism- xenophobia.

I don’t know if that can be fixed.

Oh. By the way. My OP story is from The Federalist. Not Breitbart, OANN, or Redstate.

I suspect you will just say Breitbart “flavor” but why not just address the topic? (Do you think Scarborough didn’t say this??)

I guess I just agree with Scarborough then in that the country and world would be better without a certain segment of the rightist movement.

And I do believe there are some descent and honorable Republicans.

Federalist is just the same thing as Breitbart, restate, OANN, Conservative thinker etc.
 
Think about what they have done?!!!

If any party needs to be dissolved it is the democrat party. Their hunger for power and rule has turned into a dangerous political game. What they did to President Trump the last 4 years should never be allowed to happen again. And then, the final straw is the election, which they appear to be getting away with. @tomarin
